Sacred Seven

Was really terrible, like most anime. It had some good action scenes, but it was dumb and there's almost no plot. Plus the superhero designs kept getting more and more like digimon rejects as the show went on. Have no idea what audience they were trying to go for with this.

Naruto Manga

This Naruto vs. FINAL BOSS stuff would be cool if that chapter many months ago about his MOONS EYE final boss plan had been a joke. But it's not, and so unfortunately masked man has become a shitty villain, which is a shame because he was kind of cool for a while, but now I get the feeling this is going to go out like the FMA manga with some nice art, some good action, lots of flashy stuff but no point in caring about the story anymore. Shame, the chuunin arc was so good and there were bouts of quality all throughout the manga (though lots and lots of stupid scenes); but it doesn't seem like it will finish too strongly imo. Just need Sasuke to come out and sacrifice himself in the end to save his hump-buddy Naruto and the credits will be ready to roll.

Still better than Bleach which has just been hilariously bad arc one after another since the Soul Society arc.

naruto is so bad. both the character and manga. his current power up has been teased since the start of the series, but he isn't strong. the one time he was strong was when he fought Pain, and it was pretty great. here he's getting knocked around by everyone. it makes the main baddie less important when lame zombies give Naruto problems. and worse still is knowing how much filler there will be until something important happens.

What? Naruto's been demolishing enemies with his clones everywhere at the same time. I dunno, moving at the speed of light, being able to make tons of clones, and firing off non-stop rasengans everywhere seems like a pretty good upgrade.

I like Naruto (the character) a lot. I think all the stuff going on with him and upgrades throughout the series have been great. He's a likeable character and he's had good character growth. I also like some of the side characters like Killer Bee and Tobi was originally hilarious and interesting.

The problem is the plot sux. EYES EYES EYES EYES EYES. When the Jinchuuriku zombies in this chapter were revealed to all have SUPER SHARINGAN EYES it was hard not to laugh at what a joke the focus on "having super eyeballs" has become and how it's taken over the story along with this stupid MOON EYE plan.

Naruto is a manga that I just feel bad for. I can't laugh and troll it like I do Bleach, because you can tell there's a good manga in there somewhere and it tries to be a good manga like One Piece is. But it's just been falling apart and failing as it reaches towards the conclusion and that's just kind of sad

what types of enemies? zombie scrubs. the biggest failing is when he encounter zombie Pain and relied on Itachi to win. That was a perfect opportunity to one-shot a former baddie to give us an idea of his growth. It's a cheap method frequently used in Dragon Ball, but it works. his contribution is about as great as Chouji's.

Oh yeah, I forgot to say that it's the first half of the show.

I have the first half of Xamd on Blu-ray, but still haven't picked up the second. Doesn't appear to be much of a discount with the complete collection that's coming in February. Hopefully the half sets drop in price when the colletion comes out.
