I just started watching the show and I love it, but all that weird zooming around 3D following microscopic bacteria as it fucks someone up has me paranoid for GERMS and VIRUSES invading my personal space through hilariously improbable means.

House rocks but im only like 7 eps in, already bought season 2 on dvd tho .

Also House is slated for syndication in 2008 so that means its signed for at least 5 seasons to meet syndication requirements. I hate buying tv series that die halfway through season 3 so I checked on it haha.

Syndication requires 66 episodes I believe, which is 3 seasons of standard 22 episode show.

Syndication is often a profitable enterprise, due to the fact that series can run for decades after they stop production. In this way, many shows that do not gain much profit during their first run will still prove to be viable to the network if they can last 100 episodes.
There are many exceptions to the 100 episode rule. Shows of fewer episodes have become syndication successes.

So it looks like House will be one of those exceptions if done earlier. 2008 would put it just past season 3 anyway.

Traditionally, syndication only meant for the Big 3 (4) Networks (and more specifically, their local stations). Each station would have to pay for rights to show the program. That's where the big money comes in if you are a Seinfeld or a Cheers and can get on 100 different deals around the country.

I would think getting a deal with G4, would be significantly less money.
