 If any of you posted the same topics within minutes, you all would've been booted.  None of those topics belong here.  And what she did isn't really qualified by the three strike rule.  Why would I have an agenda against her?  Prior to last night, I've pretty much been one of the few people she actually spoke to privately.  And what friends am I proving anything to?  Her and cloudwalking are friends.  I even asked cloudwalking if she wanted to overturn that ban in favor of a shorter one.

She posted those 3 topics within 45 minutes (Which is nothing, considering the shorter timespans other posters have posted worse and more numerous topics), but were they actually BAD? There were FAR worse topics to sully the place than anything she posted. If she truly wanted to sully the place, she'd post hot topics or dumb pics, or topics with little thought behind them. And aside that, they'd just fall to the bottom if noone saw interest in them.

And yes, the way you admitted her does hint toward some sort of "If I do this ppl wil say im cool on the internet" plan. That's not too surprisin, though, seeing where you came from.

Reading the topics, the wording was not nearly that derogatory or explicit. Now, whether another poster sees the word "jew" and automatically thought "money" (As a certain other poster did in that topic) is not up to the person who posted the topic. banning her because of the possibility of a slippery slope is  not really "legitimate" is it?

Yes, because I came from the streets.  She asked if I should she should check out, I said yes - go reg and I'll make a topic about it.  There's no mystery.  Prior to last night, her and I got along quite well.  And furthermore, what people would think I'm cool?  cloudwalking is her friend, so that's okay... the rest of the mods don't give a shit.  Again, if it was you, you'd be banned for three weeks (because I don't even know you! psyche!).  The last thing I want for a fledgling community is someone to fuck it up.

I totally missed the precursor to all of this (and I still haven't seen it), but I think I've got the gist of it.

Vagabond, I understand where you're coming from, but at the same time, you gotta see Willco's point.  A distinguished mentally-challenged fellow as a pet?  Classifying Jews?  Now I admit haven't seen the content of the threads yet, but I'm sorry, those kinds of thread topics have no place here.  I like Lemurs, I've had nothing but good discussions with her (albeit only a couple), and from what I've seen, she is an intelligent person.

However, I think she knew exactly what she was doing by posting those threads and they easily could have degenerated to OA levels of ridiculousness which is definitely something we want to avoid.  This is not OA, this is not OA jr or OA Lite, and we don't want it become that in any way shape or form.
