It's in the random gaming talk thread but it probably deserves its own thread.

Here's hoping one of the dimensions is Spider-Man 2099. It looks alright. Shame they have to add gimmicks and can't make an kick ass Spider-Man game.

2099 is already confirmed.  Someone posted the Gamestop pre-order bonus costumes and one of them was a skin for the 2099 model.  So much for the secret!

The only thing significant about the last one is that it seems a bit more bulky or cartoon-y than the other three.

It's funny when you hear these devs talk about franchises like Spiderman "People love the comic books, they love the character, and they wanna be this hero. And with this game, you get to be him!"

Why? Because i'm controlling a character that can shoot webs, is that it? Motherfuckers, what makes spiderman so awesome isn't just because of his powers, it's the characters, the stories, the struggle, the connection.

Spiderman games will always be crap until devs stop trying gimmicks and keep focusing on just making the player able to manipulate his powers, and start bringing players into the world of spiderman.

Imagine if the comic book was always just spiderman punching dudes from beginning to end....

Besides getting his powers from a magical spider it looks deeply rooted in reality like Nolan's Batman Universe. Plus Spidey gets a gun  :gun

I'll wait for reviews and impressions, but this looks awesome, especially if you can play as Spider-Man 2099.

So there are four dimensions: Amazing, Noir, 2099, and what's the last one?

It hasn't been unveiled yet.  2099 was supposed to be a secret too but the Gamestop preorder bonus gave it away.  The last one's model doesn't have distinct features apart from the others.  It is chunkier which means it is either a buffer spider-man or more cartoon-y.  Better to bet on buffering considering Amazing covers the cartoon/comic version.

bunch of new video of the game.  it's looking pretty good.

the Amazing stuff seems like it will focus more on platforming action while Noir is stealth action.

Camera looks pretty bad, especially when on walls. The game engine seems pretty nice, would be nice to see an open-world, Amazing Spider-Man game that looks like that.

Also, Spider-Man 2099's voice is hilarious.

That's Dan Gilvezan, voice of Spider-Man in the best Spider-Man animated series. You wouldn't know that since the show is from long before you were born.

No. Better than the free-roaming movie games and better than Web of Shadows though.

Kind of reminds me of a 3D version of the old Sega-made Genesis/Sega CD Spider-Man games.

There's some annoying first person combat stuff they do here that's stupid.
