Definitely interested. Gears2 is the only game I've finished on the the 360 so far.

TBF, all the games I've bought for 360 have been for multi player like 1943, Bad Company, MW2.... Madden is the only game I've bought to focus on single player.

For what its worth Gears 2 was my favorite campaign of this gen by far so I'm definitely excited for #3.

Hopefully they fix up their MP this time around.

It was really weird.

Gears of War 1 was the most fun i've had with online multiplayer since Red Orchestra back in the day. Gears of War 2 MP in contrast was a total turn off.

But...Gears of War 1 had a terrible SP campaign, although with a fun co op option. On the other hand, Gears of War 2 SP campaign was off the hook, and one of the few games where i played it at launch and liked it a lot, then came back to it months later, and absolutely loved it (hype was over, expectations reset).

For a company that was generally focused on the MP side of things in their past, its surprising that Epic is able to deliver some pretty sweet campaign action.

The MP side is an odd duck. I sort of like it but it strikes me as the sort of thing that will never be as popular as other shooters. The pacing and controls which feel fine for singeplayer somehow feel less than ideal for MP.

Honestly I barely played the MP in the second. It was broken early on and by the time they had fixed some of the stuff I had already moved on.

Gears of War 1s single-player was average, the multi-player was absolutely fantastic. Overall, I'd give it a 9/10.

Gears of War 2s single-player was slightly above average, the multi-player was absolutely atrocious. Overall, I'd give it a firm 7/10.

Gears of War 3 needs a good story; none of that MARIIIIIIIIAAA crap please. And of course, it needs some good multi-player.

Because when your single-player campaign is meh, and the multi-player is bleh, there's just no replay value.

Only the first one was ported. It wasn't so good back then 'cause most PCs couldn't handle it but it's great now on an average gaming PC.
