For a standard network sitcom its fine. Better than average in fact. It's essentially The Odd Couple remade. I totally get that's not what most people on a forum are looking for. It's not cutting edge comedy ala arrested developmented something in the least nor the best comedy but for what it is its fine.

And I'm dead serious about the hot women on the show. They are amazing.

Um, by what standard? CBS is the only network channel that still does primarily the live studio audience style sitcom. Modern Family, The Office, 30 Rock...etc are more of a standard sitcom in terms of what is more out there on network tv.

CBS is the only one still doing that, and they happen to be the channel of old people so it isn't that shocking they are the last left.

The American Office is about as standard and mindless a sitcom as you can get. If any of you are watching that or How I Met your mother (both shows which seem to be popular with hipsters I notice) then you better not be throwing stones at two and a half men.

I liked the Wire before it was cool so I can withstand any hipness contest when it comes to tv taste.

I watch The Office more out of a mangled sense of tradition and routine than for what I actually get out of the show, which is...not a lot. But I've seen my fair share of Two and a Half Men clips and what have you, and aside from the occasional super softcore fap material I see nothing that could make it as successful as it's been. It's just so standard and middlebrow.

Actually, that is pretty much how I am. I think the crappiest show I watch is Bones, but its main actors are good TV actors at least. I can't set my life to revolve around a TV schedule or videogame schedule. If I am spending time on entertainment, it better be good shit.

It's kinda hard to watch a shitty show week after week. It takes investment. What is the point of watching a show every week unless you really love it? A shitty movie is a one time thing.

I watch no show during its regular prime time network run. I'm generally gaming or doing something else during that time. That still leaves however plenty of time to veg out on TV during slow weekends. The same time I would have often spent watching shitty movies or going to see most shitty movies. Especially the popular ones.

Every episode I've seen of most of my "non-critic" style shows is then. It's why I've seen plenty of shows like Monk, or Psych, or Burn Notice, or the dozens of other TV shows that are below A grade and often just very bland but I've still seen em. They play all these shows on marathon on all the cable networks that exist.

Not worth arguing over. I've tried to sort of explain that Two and a Half Men isn't appointment TV for me. It's simply TV that's on. I have never seen every episode of the show. I'm not embarrased that I like it. It's a fine waster of 30 mintues for me. If it isn't for you then that's cool to . I'm not trying to convince you that the show is awesome or something you must watch outside of the first few joke posts I made. It's a fine way to kill some time If I have nothing to do. Like all the other things that are timewasters. (Like playing videogames)

I season pass on dvr the shows I like and due to the fact its something I "have" to watch every week a show better keep me interested for me to stay invested. I don't channel surf and randomly watch stuff I always have far too much on my dvr for that.

This. And I hardly even watch anything on an actual television; mostly only Curb and Sunny. Basically everything else I watch online, and if they posted full Curb/Sunny episodes online around the same time as they aired the episodes (and not a week later like Hulu does for Sunny, meh) I wouldn't use the TV at all.

Its such a by the numbers ordeal.  A lot of its success is attributed to it being background noise.  I don't watch tv programming hardly ever anymore so I'd rather watch other stuff on streaming sites.
