Love Ranch, a film first shopped around in 2008 for a presumable 2009 release then held up indefinitely by the financial woes of Capitol Films, is now slated to hit theaters in June. Well, a few theaters anyway, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film will open in "seven to 10 North American cities" in June before expanding if the release goes well.

What is Love Ranch, you ask? It's the story behind the 1971 founding of The Mustang Ranch, Nevada's first legal brothel. Directed by Taylor Hackford (Ray, The Devil's Advocate, etc.), it stars Hackford's wife, Helen Mirren, and Joe Pesci, making only his second big-screen appearance since Lethal Weapon 4 in 1998. (He had a small part in the 2006 film The Good Shepherd.) Co-stars include Gina Gershon, Bryan Cranston, and Bai Ling. Is this a case of a good movie being held back by bad breaks or something that should never see the light of day under any circumstances? Looks like we'll find out sometime soon.

yeah, he was in it for about 40 seconds. They aged him up, but it was unmistakeably him.
