If youre like me you appreciate it when developers put a little thought and creativity into their achievements, or just make them plain funny.

A couple of my favourites:

Splosion Man - GET THEM OUT OF OUR SCHOOLS 10G: 'Sploded 10 scientists and stopped them spreading their filthy lies.

Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard - MEAT YOUR MAKER 10G: Blast all hanging beef.

Red Dead Redemption - BEARLEY LEGAL - Kill and skin 18 bears.

The multiplayer teamkilling achievement bishoptl put in Turok that they had to patch out of the game after people complained.

I like the Assassin's Creed 2 ones:

STREET SWEEPER - Hide 5 dead bodies in a haystack. So you just run around looking for guards to kill so you can hide them all in the same haystack.

PERFECT HARMONY - Dye your clothes with the colors "ebony" and "ivory."

...I guess those aren't that funny.

In that new robot fighting game, Plain Sight, most of the achievements are named after lines spoken by robots.

I got both of these

Hitman: Blood Money
47 kills
A mission has been completed with precisely 47 kills.

In a stealth game where you have at most 2-3 targets in any mission.

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men
Headmaster
47 headshots.

..same company lol.

I got it by actually wiping out two floors of civilians and guards along with the targets on the hotel level. The only way that you can keep more guards from coming really..

I like how Dead or Alive 4 has five "achievements" for getting beat down, all worth 0 GS:
5/10/20 Straight Losses in DOA Online
Lost 5/10/20 times consecutively in DOA Online Mode.

Achieved Grade "D"
Received the grade of "D" in DOA Online Mode.

Achieved Grade "E"
Received the grade of "E" in DOA Online Mode.

BlazBlue has some good achievement titles/icons too. My favorite:

The Bullet Witch one that gives you 1GS for beating the game on the hardest mode (which is only available after beating the game on the second hardest mode) is my favourite though.

I think they should hide the gamerscore from anybody who's not on your friend's list. It'd be like quality control to prevent games like Avatar or whatever.

Nah, I like checking friends' friends lists to see what their gamerscores are like.

Seems the "average" gamerscore is around 10k or so.

Im quite happy with my gamercard, its a legit 46k with only stuff I wanted to play. Only blatant points grab was Dash of Destruction but that was free and took 10 mins to 200. Couldn't resist

The only game on my gamercard that I played solely for GS is FIFA 2006... And the only reason I played it is because I wanted an easy 1000 points in order to win Fuzion Frenzy 2 from a contest.

Both games were garbage. $:-\$

No. It's local MP, and you can apparently do it with any controller, such as a guitar controller. Weird.

Some friends came over the other night and brougbht UFC 2009 with them. There's an achievement for watching the ring-girl cutscene 15 times without skipping it that is now tied to my gamertag. $:-\$

Oddly, no. I personally didn't play it a whole ton, but it was pretty fun for a while, once I started to figure out how to do the moves. It was a rental with no instructions, and I didn't want to be that guy that is constantly pausing the game to check out the moves lists while they waited.

It's not a button masher; most of the reviews for it claimed it was deep, but that you absolutely, positively need to do the Tutorial from start to finish. The other day I had a Ranked match against a guy who had never been in a ground position before. I felt sad for him. But not too sad to win:
