So I gets me a call from some guy working at this university I applied to last year for Fall 2010. He was telling me to sign up for a for some writing placement exam or some shit. Now, I hadn't gotten an admission/rejection letter yet, so I assumed that his call meant that I got in. Turns out that wasn't the case, and he simply calls people who just apply to this particular university (it's Cal State, Northridge). He seemed surprised that I hadn't gotten a letter yet. Seems they started sending them out TWO MONTHS AGO. He then tells me to log on to the CSUN application status website, but turns out I didn't have the info. He says I should have gotten a letter shortly after I applied that had my username/password. I never got such a letter. So we both think that's kind of odd. He then asked me if I sent my transcript. It was at that point that it suddenly hit me that I knew I might have forgotten something important.
So now it seems I'm fucked (again) and because of Cali's shitty financial state, I have to wait a whole year before applying since all the State run universities stopped taking Spring admissions. Now, while I do accept most of the blame, in my defense, in the past I applied at places like the University of Cali schools, where they're admissions processes were different. Over there, you didn't have to turn in your transcripts until you got your acceptance letter.
In any case, GODDAMN IT! The guy said there may still be a chance I could still send it in now, but it's not looking very good. If that doesn't work, I'll try and appeal. Or something.
I had to wait until I was 24 just so I could be eligible for Financial aid! Now I might not even be starting until I'm 27. FML.
