That list is from early June and the fact that it called an oddball character like Amaterasu makes it seem like it could be accurate. There's still plenty to be skeptical of, but so far, the list isn't wrong.

If that ends up being the final list, that's not so bad. Probably could've went with more fighting game franchise choices (HOW ABOUT SOMEBODY FROM THIRD FUCKING STRIKE) over characters like Wesker and Trish, but I can't knock Capcom for avoiding character rehashes. Plus, it has Arthur

Capcom owns the IP and it obviously has some marketability. Why would they let it lie dormant?

Also, Ammy looks like she is going to be OP, although she seems to have shit for life so maybe that will counteract the fact it is hard to hit her.

5 years ago = Capcom was concerned about $$$ and Okami was not profitable so it was ignored
now = Capcom is doing great financially and sees it as a neat ip to mess around with

yea! it makes sense to keep milking resident evil since the creator was able to reach resident evil 4 before going away and it's one of capcom storic franchise but there has been only one okami and the only people who care about it are internet nerds!

It was called Ultimate Ghost n' Goblins.

The GnG franchise will never die. Probably will get Maximo 3 at some point, I mean we may be potentially getting Megaman Legends 3.

Years and years back when Image first started, there was a Wolverine rip-off named "Killrazor" that could make blades come out of any part of his body. Everybody always wondered how he kept his johnson intact.

And I guess technically I should have been saying Wolverines #3, #4, and #5, because there is/was the android knock of Wolverine named Albert back in the 90s.

Yes, yes it does. I skipped reading all those Wolverine and Wolverine Origins books that dealt with that storyline, although I do like Daken. A demented, fucked-up Wolverine is cool with me.

The latest Wolvie storyline is that his soul has gone to hell (so he gets to fight the devil!) and his body is running around under demonic influence. But that's just in Wolverine, because over in X-Book-Whatever he's fighting vampire-terrorists, He's forming a new X-Force (X-23 = out, Deadpool and Psylocke in), and he's fighting weird mystical shit in one of the 342 new Avengers books.

Marvel vs Capcom series regular Spider-Man will make a return, and 'ol webhead will sport his classic red and blue costume. From the gameplay clips Capcom presented during their stage presentation, it seems Spidey will retain many of his moves from previous MvsC games, but also looks to sport some new web zip line manoeuvres that help him quickly get behind opponents. His maximum spider super also gets a visual revamp--Spidey will now zip back and forth from walls, leaving webbing behind him that will encase his opponent, and finishes it up with a powerful foot stomp from above.

Resident Evil antagonist and leather aficionado Albert Wesker was also unveiled, and will sport his classic dark coat, dark clothes, and dark sunglasses combo. From the gameplay clip shown, it looks like one of Wesker's key abilities will be a handy teleport that quickly switches his position around on screen. Three supers were also shown--the first was essentially a counter move which allowed him to drop an opponent mid-super (in this case, Captain America), while the second was a series of fast hits that saw Wesker bounce from wall to wall (a la Spider-Man). The third had Wesker striking his opponent multiple times, before jumping over their head, producing a missile out of nowhere, and dropping it on their opponent.

Producer Ryota Niitsuma was on hand to introduce the new characters, as well as confirm that the game will ship in spring, 2011. Stay tuned to GameSpot for more Marvel Vs Capcom 3 updates.
