I took my first pilot lesson on Saturday morning. That shit was amazing. When I felt the airplane take off and it starts swaying in the wind off the ground it's just a fucking amazing feeling. When you make steep turns and look to your left and see the ground straight below you it just blows you away. It was fucking exhilarating.

I got to do everything except land. He said he'll teach me to land next time. I just watched him this time. I was in control right from turning the engine on all the way to right before we landed. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit.

Awesome mups. How much is a lesson there? A friend of mine is doing it. He said his lesson are $250 for an hour of flight and he needs like 80 hours to get a license. Maybe he said 100 hours. Can't remember.

Do you know if he's combining instructor classroom time with flight time? Because that seems pricy. You only require 35 hours of flight time to get your license. But you need 20 hours of ground school instruction too. Mine is only about $120 an hour with an instructor and about 80 if I fly by myself (after 10 hours of instructed flight time I can fly solo). But I bought a package of 65 hours of flight time and 50 hours of instruction for $8.5k. The national average is 45 hours of flight time. But yeah, it's an expensive hobby. I eventually want to do it as a career though. So after this I'm going to get my commercial license.

Got the results from my MRI last week. It's a hernia, but not a major one. They just want to put me on painkillers and nerve-desensitizers for a month or three. F that; I went to a sports clinic, and they took some moar x-rays, gave me some mild stretches to do, a little treatment, and my mobility came back to almost normal. My left thumb is still numb though.

Well, actually, I'm pretty sure mine happened while training in karate. A higher-level black belt was telling me that my backward rolls were not right, so I was trying to do them his way. My first attempts were much, much worse than my "wrong" way, and by the time he stepped in to show me what was wrong, my neck was already a problem.

And I'm not in pain. Actually, I can barely feel my left thumb...

took off the bandages this morning, everything looks good. nice scab, no severe discoloration. slapped some antibiotic cream and a new bandage on and we should be good. can't put too much weight on it though. i have no idea what shoes i can wear. i was supposed to do some major duty server re-arranging today but i don't think that's going to happen as standing on it hurts a bit too much.

I don't know if I could get anything from it. Not even sure how strong the case is, but the fact that most of the schools in the state are getting sued for it seems like one more amazing, astonishing symptom of the problem. yet enrollment increases!
