Smooth Groove does.  Doesn't that count?

multiplatform releases are better on the 360.
They are usually best on the PC, actually.

The differences between the 360 and PS3 versions of games are usually nothing compared to the rift between the consoles and the PC.  ;)

Bingo.

I saw BF:BC2 on 360 then saw it on PC. The difference was staggering.

I haven't seen them (Ps3, PC) side by side, but I have no doubt that the PC version looks better.

Ahhh PS3 fans. When defending their console isn't an option they resort to another platform to feel good about themselves.

Thankfully Split/Second is so awesome that I can turn a blind eye to that.
It would be nice if XBOX360 console exclusives could be released without technical problems, though.  The top PS3 exclusives are all very impressive looking while a lot of recent 360 exclusives are all sub-HD and suffer from performance issues.  What's the deal with that?  Shame Alan Wake isn't available on the PC...

Thankfully I play video games for fun and enjoyment, not to count frames or whine endlessly on video game forums about screen tearing! You know, like a normal person.

But hey, enjoy your problem free Lair, Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire, Heavenly Sword, Super Rub 'a' Dub, Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom, Afrika, Calling all Cars, Gran Turismo 5, and White Knight Chronicles. I'm sure that slick technical polish on those exclusives really makes them a lot of fun.

:pimp - because I am cooler
Oh, you mean all those old games?

Good thing I own all systems (even the Wii) so I don't have to deal with that.  The 360 just doesn't give the best experience.  PC > PS3 > 360 >>>>>>>>>> Wii

;)

Counting frames isn't necessary when your framerate is dropping so low all the time either.  It's not exactly difficult to spot.

I moved my Gamefly over to blur. I think that one suits my taste more. I liked the Split Second demo but not enough to bump Blur.

I really like both games, I guess I'm in the minority.

Blur seemed like an incredibly polished multiplayer racer while Split/Second seems like something I'd enjoy more for singleplayer. I wonder how well Split/Second holds up over Live.

I liked them both also. I don't think that's a minority position. The reality though is that I probably don't need to play 2 racers in a very short amount of time so I'm gonna gamefly the one that I enjoyed the demo of more especially since that one was multiplayer. I'll definitely give Split Second a rental down the road though.

That would explain the spike in PS3 sales earlier in the year.

:lol @ dark1x's sfagottry ITT.  There's so much wrong with his logic.  Love ya, dark1x,  but please don't consider yourself part of the PCDF/graphics whore army anymore.  As supreme commander, I'm tossing you out.

I think I've seen more pics of hardware than actual games from him

Come on now, I've at least beaten ME2 and GOW3 in the last 3 months.  That's not too bad for a medical professional who owns as many games and systems as I do, innit.

Ever since my gaming time has diminished in the past year, I've actively stopped myself from spending so much time on benchmarking and tweaking.  I still like benchies but they're kinda pointless now with my current system handling almost everything at 60fps, 1080P, max settings and outrageous image quality.

Played through the first epsiode and tried each online mode.

Fun game. Seems like something that will be get better each iteration and perhaps by the 2nd or 3rd there will be enough mechanics and variations in the game for it to be really something special.

As it is its still pretty darn fun. Lots of jaw dropping moments as amazing and crazy shit happens as you drive across the tracks. The driving and handling also feels very tight and good. I wish the bumping and grinding between cars felt better ala Burnout and sometimes when I wreck I'm surprised because it didn't seem like the impact was worthy of it.

I wish you could trade off your destruction meter for a speed boost. It would help with the silly rubber banding AI in the SP and it would help the flow and balance in general as being in first place is kind of boring since you can't really do anything to improve your position or attack the other racers.

Online play also seems to be hampered by the fact that the cars aren't tiered. (or at least I couldn't tell if they were) Seems like people just take their best car online so if you haven't unlocked that yet, you are kinda screwed. Their lobby system and online stuff is also pretty barebones in general. Hopefully next time around they spend more time with that.

Its kind of a one trick pony and I wish there was more to it, but still enjoyable especially for a rental.

The more I play this game, the more I really like it. The single player is a bunch of cheating bullshit but even I still get a thrill in certain races.
