Why are you buying stuff without an extended warranty?

I can tell you firsthand that the iPod stuff definitely makes life easier, since Apple wanted over 200 dollars to replace my headphone jack.  :P

Well, this is the way I look at it. It's got a Blu-ray player and it plays my 20+ PS2 games.

I've been getting my 60 GB repaired which is cheaper then buying a new system, but still. FUCK.

Nope, not the drive. Mine overheats with about every game. Not even a YLOD this time around. It just shuts off immediately. I thought it was the more graphic intense games, but it shut down when I tried to play Nier last week. Lol.

:'( My 60g PS3 died last year, I paid for extended warranty so it was all good though. I haven't bought any electronics in the past 3 years without extended warranty as I always find shit breaks (at least that was true for me last gen). So far for the past 3 years my PS3 is the only piece of tech i've had die on me so extended warranty probably wasn't that worth it. When they fixed my PS3 they literally changed every single component in the thing. I'm hoping this keeps it alive for longer, I'd rather they just gave me a new reliable model, BC and a few extra ports isn't worth the hassle. I have a PS2 anyway.

How does my fucking PS3 play through Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain, but crashes on NIER?

Best yet: UFC Undisputed 2009 doesn't even make the fan spin fast.

If they give me the opportunity to buy an extended warranty when I get my triple repaired, I'm going to take it.
