I think their main focus this year will be 3DS for the conference.

1.Mainstream media....extremely positive so far,revolutionary stuff
2.Bad word of mouth...not out yet

Yeah, they held the E3 game review press event two weeks back.

They do it because IGN, Gamespot, and 1up started to cry to publishers that they didn't have enough time to cover all the games at the show. So now the publishers have to put on these expensive press events months before E3 to show off their lineup prior to the show.

There's some really good games there, but there's no major exclusive that a site has to sit on and hype up E3 to get pageviews for so people are downplaying the show.

The PC has stuff like Civ5, Starcraft 2, RAGE, and maybe Half-Life ep3.

Nintendo may have Zelda there, MS and Sony will be waggling their dicks.

Rockband 3 is there and playable. Square has something like 7 games, and they didn't do a press event because they don't really cave into whiny "journalists". Lucasarts has their strongest lineup in years with Old Republic, Force Unleashed 2, and MONKEY ISLAND 2.

Yea all of that will be there. Disney actually has the same booth space as EA and MS. So they're definitely going to be big there. Most likely Epic Mickey, Toy Story 3 (since it comes out during the show), Tron, etc.

Yeah, with the III and IV naming convention, it would only make sense that they would re-use the engine and drop it into a new locale. I was honestly worried that The Lost and the Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony were the last GTA titles we'd see until GTA V. Where are you seeing this rumor circulated?

I feel like I shouldn't expect anything because so many reveals have happened already.  For example, Sony announced LBP2, Killzone 3, and now infamous 2 before E3.  Their big hardware reveal of the Move was also a few months back.  There is definitely going to be a lot of (shovelware) software there for the Movie that'll be new, and hopefully the rumored Ape Escape that uses it, but those are the types of games that seem like big reveals.  A rumor that gets often mentioned is the PSP2 and how they may, or most likely may not, show it at E3 due to the 3DS.  I don't even know if the 3DS is confirmed to be shown at E3.

There are still a bunch of games I'm looking forward to seeing.  This is the first year in a while that I'm looking forward to Nintendo's the most considering they have the best chance of showing new hardware and a new Zelda.  Brandnew reminded me of Epic Mickey and that's a game I hope is good.  Really want to see Vanquish in action.  Want to see how LA Noire and Agent are turning out now that Rockstar redeemed themselves for me.  Deus Ex 3, Metal Gear Rising, hopefully a sequel to Banjo Nuts and Bolts, infamous 2, etc.


Also, I agree with Eel about wanting to see reactions this year.  Between Natal, Move, and 3DS, there is going to be some scorched earth stuff on gaf.
