Hasn't this HL3/HL2:E3 rumor already been proven fake in some way?

it isn't episode 3 because there won't be an episode 3, it's just gonna be half-life 3

episode 2 left a lot unexplained so I don't think they're going to do that, since it would be a pretty awkward spot to start the game.

Plus, this is valve.  They take 2 years to make 4 hours of gameplay.  There's no way they're going to make HL3 in time for any hardware currently being manufactured.

Well people speculate that Episode 3 will become Half-Life 3 because Valve has said that they regretted the (failed) episodic model and that 'episode 3' would be more/different somehow. Plus, naming convention demands that we get a Half-Life 3 at some point even if these episodes are suppose to be it.

Well, while it obviously won't be anywhere near the 360/PS3, the 3DS will have to have more processing power than the Wii if its going to have both Gamecube graphics and "3D".

The new cole in infamous 2 looks bad but it isn't like I liked how he looked in the first game.  The first game was ugly in most aspects.  The only nice looking parts were the comic style cutscenes, and if anything, the cover not in that style is more of an issue than how he looks.  But the actual game parts of Infamous didn't look like that at all.

I'm sorry but if the new Cole looks bad, then old Cole looked like ass.

people playing Move just looked bored as hell.  the games they've shown off just look boring.  everything about that game they showed off just looked dreary.  even the calibration screen was just a black screen with a grey outline of a person.

people playing Natal look distinguished mentally-challenged but seem happy about it.  The fact that there is an avatar on screen that vaguely mimics their movements makes them more comfortable to dance hardcore.  Then they cut to the screen and all you see is an avatar glitching out.

According to the Game Informer article, they've decided to change his personality. This is what sounds like a good idea to them.

Okay, so I take back my earlier comments. They are actively trying to make him a douchebag. I know when I played the first one, I was thinking to myself "Man, this is fun, but it'd be way more interesting if I was playing as a super powered Shaun White."

Also, Cole picks up ice powers along the way, and Zeke is now MORE integrated into the story and gameplay. All the "jaw-dropping" moments will be done in cutscenes, not the comic book panel presentation from the first.

Personally, this game officially has me worried. Went from a blind buy to a wait and see for me.

From what I see, they have pulled in the camera.
- There are real cutscenes and the traditional comic strip narrative.
-You wont just jump up buildings but will construct ways to make it up buildings using objects to heighten that sense of exploration.
- There should be some new powers outside of electricity but he will still be the electric super hero.
- There is melee weapons.
- Zeke is more helpful.
- More people, cars and things happening in the game.

I definitely didn't want more Zeke after the first game, and Tony Hawk with super powers does not make an appealing character.

I don't fellate Crackdown 2. It looks pretty fun, but I probably won't buy it until it hits the bargain bin. I'm not bashing Infamous 2 either. The other posters made valid points about the changes. They're being a little pessimistic about it sure, which they have a right to be, since every sequel to an IP created in this gen has turned out shit.
