S8 has been one of the best seasons of 24, shockingly. Can't wait for the finale.

Let me add a caveat to that last comment: it was just okay (some cheesy overblown stuff, but some decent stuff) until the last fifteen minutes or so. And then it jumped an ocean full of sharks that were jumping smaller sharks.

It just sounded like the typical sci-fi nerd show that raises plenty of questions that even the writers can't answer.

Given how he shat on S5 I kinda trust his judgment, even though most of his recent reviews of S6 episodes have been hilariously bad. The middle of the season was strong but the beginning and (apparently) the end were weak

Funny how polarizing this episode is. Because for me, its enough to ELEVATE LOST to being my favorite show ever, a spot which it didnt hold prior to tonight.

I wouldn't put Lost on any Top Ten list for anything, genre television or otherwise. Especially after tonight's episode. I don't know what Kool-aid Solo was drinking, but he should pass it around.

not really--i don't like lost much and was browsing the web while watching for half of the season yet i enjoyed it. doesn't stop the show from being tremendously overrated. not even top 3 shows currently on air much less of all time.

GAF excused everything except Across The Sea. If it's true that they reacted negatively to the finale, that's kinda shocking. That forum really suffers from odd fanboy peer pressure, where everyone is trying to 1up the fervent obsession of each other. I noticed this especially during the TDK days when everyone was bragging about how many times they had seen it, how many blurays they bought, etc - basically taking Guzim and Ninja Scooter's shit to ridiculous levels. No wonder viral marketers thrive there.

PD, I've disliked most of Season 6 of Lost but I thought the finale was a pretty good end for the show. Not perfect, but pretty good. Don't listen to Willco, he's been hating on the show since around midway through the first season.

I don't think I've been "hating" on Lost until sometime after Season Three. The finale was pretty much garbage; Cajole, Cohen and I have reached consensus as arbiters of good taste.

It's a surprising finale. Not nearly as explosive as previous ones, but it wraps the season up nicely and is quite tense
