all I want from a camera controller game is something where the game shows a video of you playing, but adds random things into the background to freak you out.  Like randomly the game shows puts in the image of a guy walking towards you making you turn around and piss yourself until you eventually get accustomed to it and when it is happening for real, you're fucked.

I think the bundle pricing and the standalone pricing pretty much cements the fact that Microsoft doesn't care if their existing userbase buys the thing or not.

Well they better care.

Because if the casuals decide to ignore Natal, then they have no one to sell the thing to.

... but it's not targeted at its existing user base. It's only goal is to grow its market share. If it doesn't sell to the casuals, then it failed anyway.

I would think that it would, seeing as how MS typically packs in two games with the hardware.

Enjoy Microsoft? :lol

I don't fucking "enjoy" any company.  I play games on these fucking things.  I don't do this to smoke some corporate pole.

I could give a good god damn about MS, Sony, or Nintendo.  It's the internet cheerleaders I could definitely do without.  Gas the fuckers.

I couldn't care less about Natal though.  If I had to have it in order to play a game that I actually want to play, then yeah there's an issue.

Does this price honestly affect whether anybody here would get it?  No, nobody was going to get Natal or the Move anyways.

Natal looks like EyeToy HD, and Eye Toy games suck ass. All of them.
Move is Wii HD, so it has a chance of having good games. Though chances are small.

I just like to have something physical in my hand(s) when I play a game. The technology isn't advanced enough to be 1:1 precise without a peripheral on hand.
All the Netal demo's so far have been laggy and very unresponsive.

The chances of MoveWii having good games isn't small, it's quite large actually.

The problem is we're not seeing the controller's capabilities (the 1:1 stuff and glowing ballnunchuck) being used effectively.

Hopefully SonyNintendo will show something special at E3 2008.

wow, flashbacks to the wii's first year

I'll believe it after the announcement. $150 :rofl I'm yet to buy peripherals I actually want (good fighting stick, more controllers, motionplus) let alone some POS I'm going to regret buying. Might get Move as LBP2 is implementing it and my gf loves that game, however I probably will never even consider Natal.

I'll probably get Natal if there is a good deal and there is some compelling software.  If I can use it as a general interface for my 360, that alone would increase the value.  I have mad ocd about keeping stuff in my room clean.  With Natal, I can be eating fried chicken and downloading the demo for You're in the Movies 2.

Why did they remove the chip in the unit if it was gonna be $150 anyway? They aren't planning on selling this at a loss?

According to some people, the unit itself is costing around 50$ to MS now that the cpu isn't there.

So apparently, MS wants to make Nintendo like profit.

Makes sense. That's why it's releasing during the holiday season.

Anyone know if they fixed the issue of not reading a black person?

I think N'gai Croal (an african american games journalist) was experiencing difficulties with Natal i.e it wouldn't track him right.

It was more than likely a lighting issue.

Wow... thanks for the info. :lol

Peripherals can succeed if they're reasonably priced and offer a fun and exciting new experience.

Of course, they can also fail hard.
