Seems DQs are definitely coming this time around!

I just participated in a 16-man online tourney. We all got online at the same time and played two 8-man tournament mode matches. The winners then faced each other. Worked great. That's what we should have done.

Won both, was my Guile against his T-Hawk. I think it was 3-2, 3-1, but most rounds were close...I thought he was gonna come back on me.

Rman and I did our matches. All Dictator (me) vs. Guile (Rman), and went: 3 - 1, 3 - 2 (very close last round, too), 3 - 0, in my favor.

I gotta apologize for playing kinda spammy, too. I get rusty when I don't touch the game for a week and my strategy for that match-up is more or less to rushdown with distinguished mentally-challenged fellow strength and hope I come up with something; the combination of those two things is not exactly pretty.

I probably shoulda went with Balrog to begin with.

I played lyte earlier today in endless and I realized that I have no chance of winning this. I fucking hate crossups and Chun-Li's make me look like a fucking distinguished mentally-challenged fellow. :'(

You should totally drop Makoto and use someone good!

Also that normal I was abusing you with...all you have to do is block high in the opposite direction. A lot of people will always block low which screws them up.

Why not try maining Rose? You were using her a bit. The way you play her I'd recommend dropping ultra 1 for ultra 2 though.

Are there any match-ups where Rose's U1 is better than U2?

As far as I can tell, U2 is like a free win if your opponent is low on health, and you can still definitely use it as anti-air, watching for their position during the pause and doing the appropriate air grab after the orb hits. A lot less damage, of course, but U1 is only good for anti-air, where U2 has a plethora of uses, defensively and offensively.

U1 is purely a defensive, more damaging ultra. U2 does less damage but has so much more you can do with it. There are certainly still some match-ups where I would choose U1, but in Beezy's case, he was using U1 OFFENSIVELY. There was one match he would have won against his friend had he not thrown out the ultra at the end like he did. $:-\$

Makoto is fun to use though. Fucking Capcom... :'(

I'll remember that the next time I fight a Chun-Li. I just started using Rose and Abel yesterday and I like both of them a lot. I decided to give the charge characters a break. I used them exclusively in SF4 and they're the reason why I have a bad habit of always holding down back.

I dropped DeeJay's slow ass a while ago, but I'll still be using Bison along with Makoto for this tourney.

Edit: You're right about Rose's Ultra 2. It almost completely shuts down my friend's game when I use it.

No problem. I got to get better at teching throws. It's a big weakness in my game.

I can try to play my match, but it's gonna be damn hard since I'm currently in the process of moving and don't really have time to dedicate a time for Super Street Fighter 4, along with all my shit being split between two apartments.
