Every Queen album has been in my rotation ever since Willco suggested I listen to Live At Wembley last year. That's almost a year of Queen on constant rotation.
And I can't get enough. Every album is spectacular, they have so many hits and great songs - epic 8 minute long songs, beautiful symphonic songs, great love songs, power songs that get you pumped, energetic metal songs, songs that cheer you up on a bad day, inspirational songs...the whole spectrum. And what's more is that each member contributed heavily to the band's identity.
People act as if the band was only Mercury, but May was a talented song writer (Prophet's Song plz) and excellent guitarist. Roger Taylor was a fantastic drummer and a great song writer in his own right (I'm In Love with my Car). Even though John Deacon never really sang, he rocked the house as a bassist and wrote a shit load of great Queen classics (Another One Bites the Dust for starters).
It's the ultimate band. They go from metal, to a more pop rock sound, then start experimenting with rock opera, then as they continue into the 80's experiment with synthesizers and electronic music.
