Anyone participating in any pride activities? Houston is going to have the first pride parade in the USA this month. It'll have 150,000 spectators, making it the largest gathering of queers in the south.

And I'm going!!!

I went to my first Pride parade with a friend of mine last year. Overall it was a fun day, there were bands playing, vendors selling various deep-fried stuff... basically like being at a fair, but with more shirtless dudes all over the place.

One thing I thought was kind of fucked up though? There were a few instances where we'd be walking and I'd hear someone hiss "fucking breeders" at me and my friend. Yo, we're out here trying to show support to you fhagurts and you're going to dis? What kind of shit is that?

I was walking to the cafe and I ran across all these bicyclists in biking gear and then silly attire as well. There were officials standing around to direct them to the next part of the bike trail. I couldn't figure it out at first, because none of them were really racing or competing.
