There are a lot of good Final Fantasy and Monkey Island games. There's only one good Ninja Gaiden game. (Ninja Gaiden/Black)
NG 2 is pretty average.

DOA franchise is trash. Itagaki is massively overrated.

Hate all you want, but DOA4 was good, guys. DOA in general is nothing particularly in-depth, but has always been a fun series. It certainly plays 1000 times better than any Mortal Kombat.

Even without Itagaki, I wish Team Ninja would make another game. Even just porting DOA4 to the PS3 and adding some characters from Ninja Gaiden would be cool.

Itagaki calling Tekken "shit" is fucking hilarity.

DOA4 is less of a game of rock/paper/scissors since they nerfed the counters, but I kinda felt like that was the only thing from keeping it from being kinda mashy and random.

I don't think the series is nearly as bad as some people do, but if there's another sequel, I'd rather see them revisit tag battles and flesh out the system a bit more. As the casual alternative to 3D fighters, it isn't nearly as entertaining as it should be.

DoA has always been more about style than substance, but it's still really fun to play. I'll be very interested to see how the inevitable DoA5 turns out with Itagaki and co. out of the picture. I think this is the one series that Hayashi could make some big improvements on, but who knows what him and his team are capable of? So far the only things they've done are downgrade Itagaki's games

DoA survival mode is actually really fun to play too, even though the cheating AI makes me want to smash my head through the wall sometimes. That just makes getting 100 wins even sweeter

Bayonetta battle system-fast,elegant,combo overload system...witch time is simply amazing

Ninja Gaiden-fast,elegant,more "down to earth system",forces you to do some amazing stuff

Not really. DOA2 Ultimate is widely considered a pretty good fighter. Not the most technical, but certainly fun as fuck, and easily among the best fighters on the original Xbox.

DoA3.2 is the pinnacle of the series, as far as competitive play is concerned

DoA2U was good fun though, and its online features are still mostly unmatched. It's a nice third string series.
