ok so I got to play Wipeout HD and I had it set to Novice and at the slowest speed and I came in last place on every race. 

I'm just gonna pee inside my PS3, then pour the pee from the system and into a cup, microwave it, then pour it back into the PS3. That should do it.

Btw, game's not worth more than $2.  It offers nothing more than the PSP games.  Same old underwhelming graphics, outdated gameplay, shit controls, etc.

I took LBP to a friends house and the updates were ridiculous.  I think there were about 11 giant updates for the game and it would download them one by one.  It took well over 40 minutes.  Even popping in older XBLA games, it is never more than a few minutes, if even a minute long.

PSN has some of the slowest shitty servers imaginable for patch downloads. I never had it go fast for me.

Wip3out HD is amazing though, good choice.

It doesn't make sense to me, but the speed changed dramatically when I moved.  My old apartment was terrible for this and every update took forever.  When I moved and changed connections, the speed increase was significant.  It took nearly an hour to download 100mb before while I can do that same downloaded in just a couple minutes now.  I've seen this with friends systems as well.  It's slow for some people, fast for others.

Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

There is no doubt that XBOX Live is a better network.

I hate that the patches are mandatory. On 360, they just say "you can't play on the network anymore, but go ahead" and ZOOM you're playing a game. On PS it's just "Please wait. Did you have anything else you wanted to do right now? Coffee? Shower? Make a sandwich? Write the great American novel? It's a good time for that."

I accidentally wrote XBLA but I just meant to say 360 (popping in older XBLA games doesn't even make sense  ).  I think the old game I was referring to was Crackdown.  

What I don't understand about PSN is that downloading demos or things off the store is quick for me, but downloading updates for the system or games is ridiculously slow
