Game could be alright. Won't get my hopes up though after the relatively mediocre first one.

The first game was really fun, in part because of how janky it was. Combat was easy and didn't get in the way, the dialog and voice acting was hilarious, it had a pretty good loot system, and it had a large world with some varied environments. My biggest worry is that they try to go bigger and better with the writing and voice acting and it just ends up being boringly bland.

Also posted this in the QuakeCon thread, but I'll add it here too:

TWO WORLDS II:

-Deeper character customization [wasn't show off in the demo though]
-More generic wildlife [the savanna in the demo had leopards, ostriches, and rhinos]
-Spells are created through cards [combine fire card with missile cards creates fireball spell, but there are also secondary effects that can be added on]
-Weapons and armor are upgradeable [stackable system is replaced with the ability to break down armor and weapons into their key components for use in upgraded existing weapons and armor]
-Animations looks much smoother, big improvements over the original
-Several different varieties of travel exist [one is a sailboat that you can actually sail yourself, as in controlling the sail and rudder]
-Main storyline is 20-30 hours, but there are tons of sidequests
-Multiplayer is revamped and much deeper [the multiplayer actually covers the seven years between the original game and its sequel]
-Herbs and misc. animal items can be combined to create different potions, each combination will result in a recipe that will show you how to make it again [think this was in the original]
-No skill trees, all individual skills are available to add points to depending on how you want to play.
-Armor sets can be tied to a single button, making it much easier to switch between ranged, close-range, and magical focuses
-Didn't get to see dialog and voice acting in action, but considering how much everything else has been improved I would be very surprised if this didn't get fixed as well
-Combat feels much deeper with a variety of different attacks depending on how your character is moving

Looks like a major improvement over the original.

Yes

Okay, so I ended up putting 20mins in the game.

The game feels like it was made in the 90s and sat there until someone found it and decided to release it. It's awesome.

It's one of those games where if you sat down and listed out all the things wrong with it, you'd have a really long list. By all rights, it should be a putrid pile of waste. But, for some reason, it's actually FUN.

There have been numerous posts recently regarding the release date of Two Worlds II. First of all, it’s gratifying to see that so many people care so much about the game and we thank you for your enthusiasm and passion. It’s definitely a game that we’re proud to publish; Reality Pump is on the verge of delivering a benchmark RPG experience.

Here’s the vital news: Two Worlds II is set for a January release in North America. We understand that this is not great news for those of you eager for an October release and we can understand that you might feel that our European cousins’ potentially getting the game before you is frustrating to say the least. However, there’s a reason for everything and although we feel that the game is truly at ‘AAA’ level, that reason is that we want Two Worlds II to be absolutely flawless when it launches in the North American market. Although we could bring the game to market earlier in order to take advantage of the holiday buying season, we felt that we would do a better service to you by making sure that the game you want is absolutely as it should be.

It’s vital to us that we always give you the best possible information and this is the reason that we haven’t commented on the date before now; we did not want to say something to you, only to have that information change once again. Now, we are in a position to confirm the January release date.

As previously stated, in order to keep communication channels clear, we removed all earlier posts on this subject. Again, this was to prevent confusing rumors from spreading. For example, some people had stated that friends working at retailers have seen the game ‘in the back room’. This is completely untrue since manufacturing has not yet started.

For those that have said that they will torrent or import the game because they simply cannot wait, there’s nothing that we can do to stop you. However, please remember that by pirating the game, you are hurting those who worked hard to make the game for you, reducing the chance of another game in the future. By importing the game, you’re paying more money for something that if you can wait, you’ll be able to buy in January at a cheaper price and that will have benefitted from heavyweight Quality Assurance (QA) for the North American market.

We’ll have a further update for our friends in the UK, Australia and New Zealand in the near future.

We sincerely thank you for your understanding, patience and continued support.

Sincerely, The SouthPeak Team

Saga continues
US delayed,EU should get it on October 21...

Not sure what exactly is happening, but my bet is on money problems...poor EU devs :'(

This is the latest situation.

NA/AUS/UK will get the game on January 4th as Southpeak decided that's better.

The version released in continental Europe is Multi 5 so yes, it will have an english language.
But be careful with importing the EU Xbox360 Version to North America... EU has PAL and NA has NTSC, so the game won't work.

If you live in UK and import from Germany (f.e) you're game will work.

Region lock is not confirmed,btw...

First review...92%

Quote
German Mag, "XBG 360 Games" have recently reviewed the game we're all impatiently waiting for!

And have awarded the game a fantastic score of 92%,which is higher than the likes of Oblivion in their magazine, even If its only by smidgens!

Citing the game is "Huge, compelling and has been improved in the right places. Top-RPG!" and with a closing comment of "I am really sinking into this world, developing a potential for an addiction and experiencing this typical 'Only do this quest, this chest and kill that enemy' feeling" .
The conclusion was formed by Two People!

XBG 360 Games were impressed by:
The Huge World and different Climatic Conditions.
CRAFT & DEMONS systems.
Motivational Story.
Multiplayer Modes.

The good news first -"Two Worlds II" has gone Gold and production of the Game start's on Monday! Looks good, nice lighting, framerate is great, outside some small dips always close to 30,some minor tearing.Adjust gamma levels, they are too high by default, makes everything look washed out.Voice acting is good, tons of dialog here.First two hours are linear, then game opens up.
Great atmosphere, screams polished, quick loading times, world is full of details.

Gameplay,RPG stuff...this is the real deal,hardcore RPG

Played it for like 6 hours, some random thoughts

-music is great
-polish people fail at scripting
-World is huge huge huge
-Enemy AI is a bit shitty...not a bad thing actually
-Not so buggy...very impressive for a huge EU made RPG
-Awkward animations
-horse riding is shit
-Tons of upgrades
-Teleport system works great

I really like this
-Interesting characters, tons of quests, multiple(like 3 or 4) ways to finish them, but beware you might get cheated

I feel like i have just scratched the surface now
