meh. Fairly lame. Honestly the biggest thing for me was the ESPN thing. The games I already knew about. Nothing really new exciting announced. Kinnect is mostly a gimmick for a type of consumer that I'm not.

I imagine Sony will do better than this.

Paying off the audience after an underwhelming show.

Shut up hater. Sony got owned so hard that it might as well not even host a conference. I bet all they will have is them jokes from the retired dude.

Also, fuck the attendees, fuck him up the ass, jaded motherfuckers. They are getting it for free, and they still were like "Meh", what, motherfucker that's why you ain't getting no pussy bitches

Not really.

Honestly I wanted more games that I had never heard of or wasn't expecting. (Not Natal stuff)

And even for Natal it doesn't seem like they really have a killer app. I mean I'm completely set for the fall in games but I was sorta hoping for future things to get excited about.

well, with the existing proprietary hdd setup they really couldn't go any slimmer unless they made it so the hdd snapped in to the system sides

these threads are always interesting, btw, just to see the fanboy flags come out in plain sight

crackdown 2 comes out in less than a month, companies usually don't bother showing off things that close to launch

What we had here was a bit of footage from games we knew about, confirmation that Natal isn't going to be for video games, and mostly focused on everything except video games.

They did a good job at marketing it to people who don't play video games, but as someone who watches E3 things for video games, they didn't have much for me.

dude.  the only conferences that really have huge megatons are ones at the end and beginning of generations.  people always say this kind of shit at every conference at every e3 except when new systems are coming out or just came out.

Are you joking about their conference "owning" Sony's? I guess it could if Sony talked about the Move for most of the conference.

Let's run down what we saw.

Gears 3 looked good.
Halo: Reach looked good.
Call of Duty getting timed exclusive DLC for the next 3 years.
Fable trailer.
A bunch of Kinect shit.
Throw away your remote control! snore.
A new Xbox, This makes me happy as I'll finally be getting an Xbox.

I think we go through this every e3.  no megatons at conferences!  wahhhh

these conferences are usually not for megatons.  hell, unless it's a huge new IP from first party or from a huge third party, it's not even for really new games to be announced.

most new games are shown off on the e3 floor.  not the conferences.  why do people act surprised every year?!

They showed off stuff that everyone already knew about, and stuff that none of us cared about.

They showed off gameplay footage for their two biggest IPs that NONE have us have seen! E3 is about selling towards the holiday and the beginning of the next fiscal year, not getting gamers into a frenzy.

This is the exact reason the conference was canned a few years ago. It's a trade expo, primarily for buyers and the press (to build up hype for Q4), not for gamers.
