I'm pretty sure they never talked about canceling it.  hell, I don't know if they even started.  All they did was announced that they were making a game together a while ago.

The thing i hate about these CG trailers from Bioware is that they are nothing like what then happens in the game.

they mean it's a bunch of maps, weapons, and vehicles. like every other BF expansion. pretty obvious.

Nothing. Harmonix wasn't even mentioned during EA Partners.

I wonder if it will show up tomorrow at Sony or Nintendo...

But what does that mean? They claimed you wouldn't have to pay for any maps for Bad Company 2. So I assume this isn't an expansion to that... or is it?

Or is it a standalone 1943 title like they did last summer. Or is it a standalone title they are doing as the next Bad Company game?

It's a BC2 expansion that'll probably cost like $20.

They need to stop being a bunch of fucks and do 2143 already.
That's a little weird then since they were so insistent that they wouldn't split the community like that. It's not like I care. I'm just curious how exactly will I end up playing this and how much will I need to pony up. Will there be any SP? etc.

They didn't exactly explain what this was or give much info but I assume that's because this is probably a relatively new decision they made.

I think Rising looks meh. Looks like standard MGS melee combat but in a pure action game. Doesn't look or sound too fun but eh, it was only the first trailer.

I think it's hard to grasp anything about Rising so far.  All they showed was how it's about cutting things, which was cool, but it's not like they showed how it will play.  Cut people, cut the environment, cut watermelons.  Now what?

It's almost impossible to judge anything substantial from that video other than what they showed. In addition since it will be a purely combat game as you say, I'm sure they will tighten up the action elements from a typical mgs game.

watching it again (http://e3.gamespot.com/video/6265460/?hd=1&tag=top_stories;play_btn;2) I will say that it is almost disgustingly violent.  One slice and you see the insides of the dude's chest and his hand of cut off.  It's really hardcore violence and I can't think of another game that is this violent given the context.  At the same time it is very impressive, especially the environmental cutting.
