apparently it didn't sell for shit, though, so there probably won't be a finale to the series

Nope. They don't. They just have a party and do their thing at the show. Like most publishers do. Really only EA has the amount of product as a publisher to do these things justice outside of the platform makers. I'm honestly not really sure why anybody else does them. I think they just do them so they can feel like big shots or something or because EA does it so they think they have to do it.
