TripleA, SC, and Methodis faggotry has made it impossible to look in this thread.  Can anyone tell me what was announced so I can avoid the gaming board for a few more weeks?

You're confusing faggotry with reality.

Yeah, I think I will go back to the playstation. I don't enjoy a lot of what the xbox has to offer outside USA. Halo, gears and fable? I don't play any of them. No netflix or espn, don't use zune, twitter and facebook are useless. Gran Turismo, God of War, Metal Gear Solid, Uncharted, Heavy Rain are games that I enjoy.

I'm sorry, but are you saying Uncharted is better than Kinectimals?

In order:

Microsoft: 4/10 - Buncha Kinect bullshit that I don't care about. Biggest problem is that it doesnt seem like it can carry a game on it's own. Coupling a controller plus the camera? Sure. The games the showed up front where cool. Enjoyed the Halo: Reach video but nothing really stellar. Rising was interesting

Nintendo: 3/10 - The only thing in the entire show I cared about was the new Metroid. Nothing else was interesting.

Sony: 7/10 - Games. They showed games. Sure some of them where multiplat but I got to see games and I'm happy. Plus Kevin Butler was funny. I don't really care about the Move stuff but I think it's more likely we'll get better games out of it than Kinect. Sorcery looked kinda interesting, kinda. GABE NEWELL WAS LIKE WHAT. But talking about Portal 2 at a Sony conference  is completely uninteresting because... well... that's a PC game. Still cool to see some footage of it. Then Infamous 2 trailer was cool and yep, Twisted Metal.

Dead Space 2 for the PS3 will exclusively have Dead Space Extraction on the same disk.

Medal of Honor will have exclusive BEARDS..

A short Portal 2 trailer.  Apparently Steam will also be on PS3 now at least for things like saving your game to a cloud server and patching.  Gabe apologized for his comments on PS3 development.

Move will cost $120 for one person or $370 for four.  A new PS3 bundle will have one Move controller stuffamabobs for $399.

A new Twisted Metal.  It doesn't look bad for what it is.

Gran Turismo 5 will come out this November and Killzone 3 will come out next February.

Interesting.

Score-wise, for me, it would probably be:

Nintendo: 10/10. Everything was perfect save for the minor technical difficulties at the start. 3DS will be the trojan horse for 3D in the portable space, bet on it.

Sony: 7/10. 1st hour was very boring, 2nd hour was very good.

Microsoft: 2/10. Maybe if I had gone to the Poncho event and got a free Xbox Slim I would "get" Kinect. As it stands, I firmly believe Kinect has the ability to undo 5 years of extraordinarily hard work.

I found both Nintendo and Sonys conferences to be, for the most part, disappointing.  While Nintendo started strong out the gate with a waggle catastrophe for the ages, the remainder of the show was uncharacteristically corn free.  Reggies snaggle tooth was amusing, as was that completely tone deaf 3DS add.  Bowser charring off Reggies screaming face was probably a few notes more unsettling than was intended.  Overall C-

Sony's show was also for the most part kitsch free.  I was really looking forward to an hour long glowing dildo minstrel-show disaster but not one of the presentations came off as over-the-top.  The best Sony had to offer came at the very end when that horribly dated Twisted Metal clown was wheeled on stage for no reason, and Jaffe flapped his gums for 5 hours.  Overall C

Microsofts show was a much better example of what I hoped every conference would put on the table.  Nearly every segment offered something either desperately image conscious and/or awkward for the viewer.  At one moment full on dude-bro and the next fabulously metro, I loved everything about the MS conference.  The emphasis on GIF-generating spectacle over actual game footage was inspiring to watch. Overall A-

EA conference. The Sundance of videogame conferences?  Couldn't tell you, but I can't remember even one act of misguided exhibitionism. Yawn. Overall D+

Finally the Ubisoft conference.  If you missed any of E3s major conferences THIS IS THE ONE TO SEE.  Watch Joel McHale enter the heart of darkness as New Age flim-flam and Corporate-Sponsored Anarchy makes everything you knew about game design more radical.  Half-way through the conference McHale loses it and begins lashing out at the presenters with insults.  The cherry on the sunday is the "remember Michael Jackson?!?!" closer.  Overall A+

Duckman: have you upgraded your HD on your 360?

Even if you've upgraded and done the transfer tool, if your HD shits out or your 360 breaks, you don't get to acess ANY of YOUR content that YOU bought ofr a year.

Yeah, that ain't right.  I've tranfered to different HDs and different 360s and I still have access to my content.

I don't know where you boys are getting your info from.

Well they obviously paid for the exclusive EA content in MoH and DS2.  Who cares about those things is the question.  Steam itself doesn't seem to really add any incentive for a PS360 owner unless it's for free DLC.

$130 for one person.

only $100 actually ($70 if you don't mind holding a dual shock)

correct me if I'm wrong, but the Playstation eye is $20 (I bought it for $18 2 years ago) + $50 wand + $30 nunchuck

the bundle includes Sports Champions, which seems like it will be $40 on its own.

but technically it would cost $150 to get the "full" move experience since some games have options to use two move controllers

btw, they were just showing portal 2 gameplay on TV.  looks really awesome.  tons of new mechanics.

Just seems like it'd be a bitch to hold the move wand in one hand while trying to manipulate the sixaxis stick in the other.  Personally, I'd rather spend the 30 bucks on the sub-controller.

I liked a lot of it, but it would have been nice to see The Last Guardian, Gran Turismo 5 gameplay footage, plus SOCOM 4 and Motorstorm demos. I would've also liked to have seen more info about the MMO's coming to PS3 this year, including whether or not they'll be free to play. Plus a Team Ico collection would've been great.

All these Move wands and Kinect sensor bars are going to look awesome next to your Sega CD, Super Game Boy, SuperScope 6, Sega 32x, Nintendo 64DDs, etc.

Just awesome.

I'm really diggin' the look of the way Tiger Woods handles with Move. Looks very exact. Give me Hots Shots Golf: Move!
