Seagate?

I'm about to get an external hard drive - first one I've ever purchased; I like to keep my drives internal, if you know what I'm saying - and I'm thinking about getting a Seagate. 1TB for $80 from Target.

Any advice, techbore?

An e-sata or USB dock for internal drives is cheaper and offers more flexibility if you don't plan to use the drive away from home that often.  

If you have to get an external drive, then Seagate or WD are pretty good choices.  

Which model are you getting?  $80 for the passport sized drive that only requires an USB cable is a good price but only so-so for the bigger model that requires a power adapter.

Yeah man, I was looking at those too and... I'm thinking I'd want my HD to be a little more portable than that.

It's the one that needs the power adapter. You don't think $80 is good? I can't find a cheaper price  :'(

$80 for a TB is fine. Just make sure you get some warranties covered. Those hard drives are fickle, son

edit:oops, my bad, looks like that one needs a power adapter as well.  It just looks like the tiny models.  Let me find another one.

Best deal I could find.  That's a good price for this drive.  The 1TB costs at least $50 more.
