Man, I remember when the X-Men used to be so cool; they epitomized the worst and best of Marvel in its heyday.

There hasn't been a legitimately good X-Men read since Morrison jumped off New X-Men.

Colossus was also my favorite. Even in the 'ole Konami arcade game. He was so awesome. X-Men died for me when Colossus died. :'(

Joss Whedon resurrected him (he never really died, in some horribly retcon) a few years back when he started writing Astonishing X-Men. It was pretty lame. Colossus sacrificed himself to find a cure for the Legacy virus, back in the '90s.

All I really remember him doing aside from turning to shiny metal was being a handful of X-Men's personal launchpad. But I had a soft spot for him. Plus he looked cool, which is most important.
