I have a soft spot for these Lego games and this one seems to be getting really good reviews for some reason.

It plays exactly like the others.  So, good I guess?

It sounds like the big difference is that it is more of an open world.  I liked the old star wars ones and they were a blast in local coop.  The changes they made sound nice but it's harry potter and I have no interest in those characters and location.

they should make a Lego Disney or Lego Pixar.  That would be a setting I'm interested in.

I'm really surprised we haven't seen Lego Lord of the Rings yet.

I think this is more fun than the Star Wars games, it's more about puzzle solving than fighting or shooting. Most of the mechanics are the same but it's very charming.

Of course if you don't like Harry Poter you're screwed but if you do like it (as I do) then it's brilliant.

Easy 1000 for sure, but I'd kill myself if I played a HP game.

Yeah, same here...

Lego never got the LOTR license.

They're only doing Lego games of licenses that Lego has to make Lego sets of.

Look for Lego Prince of Persia soon.

The HP movies are pretty good. But this game looks pretty boring. LEGO, lol.

Reverse that and you might have something.

The games do look quality as far as movie games go and the newest one looks like it's a third person shooter.

my problem is more that I never got into the harry potter stuff and the games would only offer abridged versions of the books.  but I mean, sorcery looks kinda neat on the ps3 and that's a harry potter rip off.

They're not even abridged versions of the books, they're abridged versions of the movies which are abridged versions of the books.

True but it would be an easy license since Traveller's Tales is now owned by WB and New Line has now been absorbed by the WB.

I saw Lego Toy Story sets so that may be the next one. If they did a Lego Toy Story Trilogy I'd definitely be interested.

Really enjoying this now, it's the perfect mix of puzzle solving and combat (80/20). Exactly what Lego is about.
