I already gave my hard earned money for the original.  Don't feel any need to pay more for minor updates ala GGXX#special_plus^2

I'll buy Blazblue 2

Well as long as BlazBlue 2 isn't like Guilty Gear 2. ;)

I actually like the story mode here too. I didn't care for it at first in BBCT, but it grew on me by the end. And it seems like they've improved it a decent amount here. The stories don't feel so disconnected any more; once you complete one character's path, a new one unlocks and it picks up from where it left off in the previous story. The joke endings are pretty good too (I actually go for them instead of the canon ends)

At any rate, I think I'll be sticking with Makoto. I like how she doesn't have super long combo strings and she's not completely unorthodox. Just a complete rushdown character who can dish out some major damage. She has a meterless corner combo that does 4700 damage (5700? with meter) :o

Sounds like SSF4's Makoto, but not gimped. Looks like I might use her and Hakumen when I get the game.

There have been a lot of changes made in CS from CT.  Some characters feel pretty different now.  They could have called the game "BlazBlue 2" and it would have worked.

Dunno; just felt like switching to someone else.  Litchi's been beefed up in CS, but I just wanted to see how it goes with other characters.

This game is really, really hard for me to get into.  It's extremely offensively-oriented to the point where it feels like nothing more than a race to see who can get in and hit their combos first.  Maybe I need to try someone who's better at zoning and ranged combat instead, but I do like Makoto.

:bow Hakumen :bow2

Seriously try him if you haven't yet. His combo's are so simple and strong. You just have to get used to babysitting his gauge.

There were lots of changes between GGXX iterations too :P

But the difference between GGX and GGXX is that the roster was pretty much doubled.  I expect a Blazblue 2 with 20+ cast in the next year or so.

The biggest change in GGXX was from #Reload to Accent Core, IIRC.  What they've done in BBCS is more.  Some characters have really changed up and have different sets of combos now.  Also the obvious MUCH-NEEDED balancing.

:wtf

From GGX to GGXX, I-No, Slayer, Bridget, and Zappa were added.  Four characters.  From BBCT to BBCS, they added Tsubaki, Hazama, Mu, Makoto, and there are at least two more characters coming (I forget their names).  That's six characters.  Only one of those characters, Mu, is a character using another's sprite.  GGXX later added Order Sol, Robo Ky, and A.B.A.  Only one of those is using an original sprite.

Frankly I would rather see Battle Fantasia 2 than another BB update anytime soon.   :P

:rofl This game is worth it for the story mode alone. Best single player ever in a fighting game

The version 1.03 patch it out now on the 360 (which is free), and so is Platinum the Trinity ($7). And they've fixed the Valkenhayn achievements!

I think I'm gonna buy all this shit and jump back in.

Same here.  I'm gonna need to buy the 360 version again, too, since I have the Japanese version and have switched to a U.S. slim.  The game's cheap so imma rebuy and try it again!

I'm also really disappointed in the 3DS/PSP versions of Continuum Shift II.  They don't have online play.   :-\
