10 bucks a month for shows that are mostly on netflix anyway, and they still have ads. Like, what a steal!

Even with the ads, this is probably a pretty decent deal if you don't own cable and like to watch a number of these shows, assuming they add content as soon as it airs and aren't a week behind, as with their current set-up.

I don't, so I'm sticking with DVD/Netflix.

If they continue to upload stuff late, this is absolutely useless.

like roboj said, depending on how current their shit is it might be okay. i don't have cable because there's a handful of shows I watch now and none of them are worth paying for cable. so if they're up to date i might bite.

The cheapest cable plan in my hood is 50 bucks and I still get ads. I don't think it's a bad deal if you have no cable/satellite and want to stay current with new shows. Netflix caters more to catalog TV series, not currently airing seasons.

Cable costs so damn much, a good internet connection plus some content subscription service (or free legit streaming even) nets you pretty much everything that you would normally watch only now its through a different pipe in your house.

fuck the cable companies, they're the next media group to start taking fear shits in the near future.

They would never do that, but HBO and Showtime really do need to put together some sort of streaming service just like this, jointly or separately. Needless to say, I'd be all over that.

Not necessarily. Cable is like a solid 50-60$ in some regions, with internet being another $50-50 (Here in Korea it's $10. EAT IT CAPITALIST PIG DOGS). 10 a month to replace it? I'll take that.
