I record every game I play, so I should grab some classic moments. Of course, the most classic has to be the witch dancing on afk Conceptors head so the bot couldn't rescue anyone and we all died. Am glad y'all made it to the heli...well I did too, and I thought I was in, then it said a Tank hit me. But who needed to get on did, so it is all good.

Pub games are notoriously bad for vote kicks. Well, they were in 1, and I got so many people to play with I haven't had to play a game w/ pubs in 2 yet. It seems just as bad, though. Just add folks you play with that are cool, and it's pretty easy to get a big selection of folks to invite (too many, they realllllllllllly need to allow more than 250 friends).

And the first part of the thread title is a lie. I shoot the shit out of people though.

i bought l4d2 360 off gamefly the other week for $11 (with my credit and discount) so i could play with a RL friend, but she's always playing with her boyfriend and his parents

I sound like a mouse, and people in the CS days were really dumb, and I prefer to keep the game not to go in a stupid direction, so it's easier to just type crap instead.

I liked voice chat back when I played counter strike. 9/10 times it was 20-somethings teasing the one kid on the server. I guess this was back when 7 year-olds ruling online games wasn't that common. These days I rarely use voice chat because I have a whiny lispy dork voice and there isn't much reason to talk.

actually, back when that one bonus map came out for L4D1 I played a game where one guy who claimed to be the voice actor for Raphael in Soul Calibur 2. That was weird.

and source games are crazy scalable. It could probably run on whatever computer you have if you don't mind turning down the settings.

L4D1 has more of a creeping tension in parts where you're wondering where the infected are going to come from next, whereas L4D2 has a steady stream of them flowing at you pretty much all the time (there are also a lot more special infected coming for you at once)

I play either one! Helped? Rumbler and archie get through one of the camps on expert yesterday for their first time. Hopefully can do the others soon!

Yeah.

-Downloaded the latest Visual C++ runtime
-Downloaded the latest .Net Framework
-Downloaded Vista SP1 and SP2
-Deleted L4D2 and reinstalled it

Still kept getting the same "Visual C++ runtime error".

Fixed my overheat issue.

Last night, something similar happened to me during a game.

I was like,"Witch. Who's got a boomstick." and then all of a sudden a jockey comes and so I try to carefully aim at it as it's right next to the witch. I missed and it jumps on my head and takes me over where the witch is, so I ended up startling it with a jockey on my head. Then a spitter and boomer come out or something and the whole team gets massacred.

It was hilarious.
