Only 11 points? The Nuggets might need to get down double that to wake up in a Game One.

My role is normally debbie downer with the teams I root for but outside of those first games in the two prior series, the Lakers have looked terrific these playoffs.

back to debbie downer for a sec. I hate when the lakers get a big lead and Lebron decides to slow down the game to pad his assist numbers. The offense always goes to shit.

Ha. After 3rd wasn’t really any more game. Kinda tuned out for most of the 4th.

Want the Celtics/heat to go to 6 or 7.

The Chicago Bulls have hired former Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Billy Donovan as their new head coach, the team announced Tuesday.

Arturas Karnisovas, the Bulls' executive vice president of basketball operations, aggressively pursued Donovan after the coach left the Oklahoma City Thunder, sources said, selling Donovan on a partnership and vision for a talented young roster and a chance to lead one of the league's anchor franchises.

After that first game Lakers are lucky to not be down 2-1. They've kinda played like crap since then. I think they should go small. Less Dwight and McGee. More like how they played with the rockets with more shooting on the floor.

Lakers take it but that was a close game all the way through. My stomach was clenched the entire game.

edit: Murray was also ridiculous that game. Some of those shots he with the degree of difficulty were nuts.

Gotta give it to Dwight he's played killer these last two games. And Dwight had a tendency to play good for a couple of minutes and then start playing like an idiot. But he's evened it out here.

Good series. It was closer than the 4-1 series tally will indicate.

Lebron was huge of course. Dwight Howard was also huge and I certainly wasn't expecting that.

Kyle Kuzma was ass this entire series. Just wanted to get that said.

Nuggets have a super bright future. I was super impressed of course by Murray & Jokic but Jermai Grant has improved so much its crazy. That dude is a real problem and matchup nightmare when he's feeling it.

It's weird. On paper I should want the Lakers to play the Heat but the Heat feel like this weird ass Maverick/Spurs team that scares the crap out of me. I feel like Boston is the much more traditional and easier matchup in a way. Whatever.

Pretty good series, pretty closely matched but Heat were savage late.

I am thinking Lakers in 6 assuming everyone plays pretty close to how they’ve done so far but who knows.

Clearly the Lakers have advantages in certain areas. Like having the two best players in the series by far. But that Heat zone will give the Lakers problems with their lack of three point shooting. And they will try to handle Lebron the same way they handled Giannis which they were very effective with. I think Lebron is both a better shooter and passer than Giannis but still its something to be concerned about.

I don't understand why Jeff Van Gundy gets mentioned every off-season as someone people are looking to hire. Is this a lazy writer thing or is Jeff's agent out there pushing this. Dude hasn't coached since 2007 which is a completely different era in basketball terms.

Jeff Van Gundy is the last Knicks coach to never miss the playoffs. That makes him pretty much a god in NYC-centric media. He could probably run for mayor if he wanted to.

Vogel's first instincts are always wrong. Dwight Howard versus a small quick under-sized 3pt oriented lineup like the heat. Nope!

I didn't get to see whole thing, but game I guess swung hard late in the 1st. when I turned on Heat were already up like 10, then Lakers went on a run to come ahead a bit. I turned it back on a bit later and saw they were up almost 30 and kind of checked out.

as far as injuries, hope nothing serious or lingering for anyone.  :-\

nuts!

Good half for the Heat. That being said, I thought the Lakers played as bad as they could possibly play and are only down 4 so that bodes well for them in the 2nd half if they just clean things up.
