So I'm sitting here waiting for my visa to show up and demon children have occupied the room with the XBox, so I won't be able to play any of my back log which is mostly 360 games.

Now I asked Prole for a PS3 game and he suggested Demons Souls, I was about to pick it up but I was forced to sit here and look afetr these fucks so I'll go later. I was reminded of Dragons Age and how I also wanted to play it. Both are long games, and both are games I wanted to pick up but hesitated cause games here are kind of expensive.

Now I ask you boreans, what should I get?

Dragon Age is technically a good game, but it is just so blah. The story is mundane and the game feels like a chore.

Dragon Age sucks on consoles.

Demon's Souls is enjoyable for a niche group of gamers, specifically, sfag dullards like Third who don't mind replaying sections of a game repeatedly with little or no progress. It's not like living in your country doesn't suck enough already. Why torture yourself further?

What other games are you interested in?

Off the top of my head:

Heavy Rain is good, God of War plays averagely but has some nice visuals, the Ratchet games are fun if you haven't tired of the franchise yet

I'm not recommending multiplatform games since you already have a superior console for those.

Dragon Age looked like single player WoW to me. I think I posted this in another thread and someone refuted it somewhat, but I can't remember what they said. Meh

Dragon Age does play like WoW. Except you can pause the game to issue orders and the classes are unbalanced... Actually that last bit sounds like WoW too.

Also the bosses in DA aren't even a fraction as good as WoW's, but that is to be expected.

Dragon Age is baldur's gate in 3d on pc. It owns. rpg of 2009

demon's souls is great but it's not really "fun" in the sense that i'd want to pick it up any day of the week. I have to be in the mood for Demon's Soul and I haven't been in that mood for months.

Demon's Souls is quality stuff for gamers that have the patience to enjoy it. But the attention to detail that this game requires is just too excruciating when there are so many good games that I can just pick up and play.

I thought I was crazy for being one of the only RPG fans on neogaf that didn't particularly care for what I played of Demon's Souls... reminded me of my feelings toward the Etrian Odyssey games (another series which everyone else likes, that I thought I'd like, but ended up getting frustrated because progress is SOOO SLOOOOOW)

though I haven't played Dragon Age yet, so I can't really compare the 2. For PS3 exclusives - Wipeout HD, Uncharted 2, LittleBigPlanet and of course VALKYRIA are my favorites.
