my commute is ~20 minutes and I hate it. It used to be 10 minutes. And before that it was 4 minutes. My life just keeps getting worse :'(

The problem with the bear trap strategy is you end up spending a lot on reconstructive cosmetic surgery to get them back to being pretty.

You guys are more tolerant, I guess. Anything longer than a 45 minutes commute 1 way makes me consider relocating closer to the job. 45 minutes is barely tolerable as it is.

Today's my last day at my current job. I move to Charlotte tomorrow.

My commute to my new job from my new apartment will literally be mere minutes. Under a mile. I'll spend more time at stoplights than actually driving.

Of course, this is just a contract job, if it doesn't get extended I could be driving to other parts of Charlotte soon enough.
