Ice cream looks awesome....but why do Yanks overwhip their cream like that? It should be soft and lush, not stiff and crusty.

Fenton's makes all their ice creams and sauces onsite.

I went to Fenton's during my sister's residency interviews at Bay Area hospitals.  The atmosphere and service were great but the ice cream was just so so.   I think I might have even preferred the ice cream I got at the Ghirardelli's near Fishermans' Wharf.

I don't know why so many places still use it from a can when it's so incredibly easy to make.  And the difference in taste is huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge
