I never played the first game, but right away all I'm thinking is that this looks more like the initial Epic Mickey concepts than Epic Mickey does.

Game needs better lighting.  Screens look good except really flat.

The first game was kinda fun.

Am I the only person excited by this news? This is awesome. I will load and play through the original finally. I've had it since it launched and never made a heap of progress, but enjoyed the visuals and the FUCKING EXCELLENT soundtrack by Chris Vrenna/Tweaker.

I never did play the original, although I saw it around a few times after it came out. A lot of people like it though, apparently.

Is the original a bit playable? How does it look?

I don't know if I'd go back to the original now, but the art style might have kept it looking good... And I'm sure the above screens look much, much better in motion. I'm pretty surprised they all of a sudden decided to do this, seems like it came out of nowhere.

It's Spicy Horse in Shanghai, which apparently employs 70 people, outsources the entirety of its art assets, churned out a series of episodic games in addition to full retail titles, and uses Unreal Engine 3. And it's in Shanghai. SHANGHAI. I'm of the ill-considered and unfair opinion that Shanghai studios can slap a game together in a month. By throwing orphans at it.

Is this like the infinite monkeys eventually producing Shakespeare? If you throw enough orphans at a game, eventually you'll get a good American McGee's Alice 2?

I have NO IDEA why but I'm still mildly hopeful about this title. Hopefully EA will not launch it against anything competitive. At all.
