-Ono wants DarkStalkers to become reality and rallied proof so Capcom will decide (taking a pic with the show floor showing money  :lol)

-Talks about SSFIV for 3DS

-New SSFIV characters will be shown at TGS

Mike Nelson:
"We have not forgotten about SF 3. In fact, from it. We've just started producing to bring this back to you. Street Fighter 3, Third Strike, Online Edition."

Mike Nelson:
Now a fight has broken out and the producers from Tekken have walked in the door. Madness. They are handing out copies of Tekken to fans at a Street Fighter panel.

and it looks like it will be 2 games with Tekken X Street Fighter.

The concept is similar to what Capcom did with SNK in the past.

Also, why hasn't Capcom vs. Guilty Gear/Blazblu happened yet.  Now that's a crossover that would be amazing (ASW version).

So the rumor about two cross games being developed is true. I'm interested.

boring cast vs. boring cast

FRIENDSHIP OVER

If you want to play SFIV characters, play SSFIV
If you want to play Tekken characters play Tekken 6

At least SF has a lot of good characters when you put SF + Alpha + SFIII series together.  Tekken characters though....lol  Chun Li vs. Panda!

Not sure about Tekken 6 home version's sales numbers, but Tekken 5DR/Tekken 6/Tekken 6 BR have been the top arcade games for a couple of years now.  More popular than SF4 ever was.

Yeah, Tekken does great in Japanese arcades.

No one cares about Tekken anymore in the west or Japanese console market.

I won't argue the quality of fighting games since I don't play them but honestly these mash-ups simply seem to be what is popular or what sells. I'm not sure why sticking Tekken characters in Streetfighter is worse than Virtua fighter characters outside of what an individual thinks is cool.

That being said obviously Virtua Fighter has hardcore niche appeal in this country although it certainly doesn't seem to be a big seller. I understand though that among the hardcore Virtua Fighter has more cred than Tekken.

the one disappointment from SF x T footage is that the game's flow looks pretty similar to SF4's. I figured it'd be faster. Not MvC2 fast, but all of the Capcom Versus games tend to be on the fast side.

Guys you're missing out on the fact that NAMCO is making Tekken x Street Fighter. Which is the game developed with Tekken gameplay in mind.

How the fuck would that even work? How would projectiles work with Tekken gameplay? It's easy to put Tekken characters in SF because all Tekken characters use melee and there's no projectiles, and there are quite a few SF characters that don't have projectiles so that'd be an easy transition. But SF characters in a Tekken game is a whole different ball game. I'm shocked to say I'm more interested in Tekken x Street Fighter than SF x T just to see how in the world it'd work.

Street Fighter Vs Tekken by Capcom.

Two games? Why?

I'm more interested in the Namco game anyway. I haven't played a SF game since SFII on the SNES.

It's basically going to be SFIV - the $60 Tekken characters DLC pack + tagging.

I'm really hoping they take out focus just to change up the gameplay from SFIV.

There's a big difference between that, and a ranged Street Fighter character. Either way, that game is going to be interesting and I can't stand Tekken outside of Tekken Tag. I wonder how they're going to pull it off.

I would guess that fireballs won't be a  huge issue in Tekken since you can just sidestep them. They'll probably only be safe to use during combos and juggles, or else the recovery could leave you wide open for some big damage.

But who cares, FIGHTING GAMES ARE MORE ALIVE THAN EVER HOLY MOTHER OF MARY IN HEAVEN I CANT BELIEVE IT WTF WHERE ARE MY SEDATIVES AAAAHHH

Tekken side-step system versus projectile characters...

that...shows promise. You could potentially throw a hadouken, the other player will side step it, giving you the opportunity to rush in and throw, creating a perfect bait opportunity. Wait, throws work with side stepping characters in Tekken right? Either way, this could give Tekken a level of dimension it's lacking for me.

My guess is that it'll conform entirely to Tekken gameplay.  Projectiles will not be a factor, all of the inputs will be changed to traditional 3D commands, and the moveset will be greatly expanded.

Seriously, how would SF characters work with tekken gameplay? Tekken x SF seems to be the one that's not a straight up cash in here.

They would likely remove the projectiles and give them normals/specials that are similar to the characters' supers.

Look at Kazuya.  He has a "shoryuken" and "hurricane kick" in the game.  Look at Paul.  His smashing fist could easily be used in place of a fireball.

Without knowing anything, it's a good assumption to make that if you like SF-style games, you'll want to give SF X Tekken a chance, and if you like 3D fighters, Tekken X SF will be your thing.

The two games are going to be completely different from each other.  They even said that the two teams are not sharing information with each other and are free to change up the character designs as they see fit to.  I wouldn't even take the demo shown as any kind of indication that's what the final game will look like, graphically.  It's not supposed to be out for like two years (damn!).  Ono said that they are thinking of going with a more classic character roster (read: SSF2T Vs. Tekken 2) but the Namco crew could go a different route entirely.  Since (S)SF4 already brought back all the SF2 people (again), that's already a little disappointing, but I guess this game could end up simply being "SSF4 Turbo" anyway.

I'm sure Ryu will still spam fireballs in the 3d one.
