Superior PSP version comes out in just a couple of months. I'm excited.

another japanese game with a cool sounding name, great box art, and probably shitty ass gameplay that isn't fun at all with terrible writing. it's an epidemic.

hexyz force psp is passable, it's better than any shitty suikoden game

Yggdra Union getting mentioned means I have to pipe up. Its a stupidly designed game that takes all the small gripes of srpgs that one tolerates and inflates them to the point that screwing up almost means starting the game over entirely.

edit: I was thinking about trolling Sting but then I saw they make the dokapon kingdom games. If you have some really nerdy friends its a good multiplayer rpg to try.

I missed launch day on Hexyz Force and have yet to see a copy in stores. Retailers in the US are really cutting back on their PSP titles (for obvious reasons)... but it sucks, I haven't been able to find Hexyz Force, Crimson Gem Saga, or Half Minute Hero... or that Badman game whatever it was called.

The Badman game got retitled for the sequel, it's called "What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord? 2"

I haven't seen Hexyz Force at any of the import retailers in Japan either, come to think of it.

Wait ... how is this going to be played without a stylus?! Sounds frustrating as hell.

Overall the game is ok. Nice change of pace from your typical SRPG with good polish and graphics. Worth about 15 bucks.

I started playing this again on the train, had to go through the tutorial again to remember how. The other thing I'm doing on the train is reading a couple of graphic design intro books which emphasize minimalism and elegance, and it's pretty hilarious going back and forth between them and this. There are like a dozen randomly chosen fonts on some screens
