So No B/R list tournaments have started back up in my playgroup. So far my results are most unimpressive:

2-2 left early for work:

Deck played: Mono Black Control [Hymn, ~10 spot removal (Diabolic Edict, Shriekmaw, Terror), Mutilate, 1x Damnation, 1x Vess, 1x Persecutor, 1x Jitte, 3x Nighthawk, 4x Phyrexian Arena, 3x Demonic Consultation. 2x relic of progenitus, 1x tormod's crypt, 4x engineered plague and 2x pithing needle in the side.

Round 1 vs My friend and his Tron/Post powered Scarecrow deck:

Lost. 1-2. A bad matchup.

Round 2 vs my friend's Mono-Black Zombies

Won. 2-1. Jitte wins just about every game it appears in.

Round 3 vs Nether Traitor Combo

Lost. 1-2. I have very little game (grave hate, hymn) against combo.

Round 4 vs Reanimator

Won. 2-0. Grave Hate Wins.


My other tournament when I played my Affinity deck went better. Full write-ups on that when I get outta the corn patch.

Some of the M11 cards are pretty awesome.  I'm gonna play that Red/Blue Pyromancer's Ascension deck at FNM tonight for shits n giggles.

I really don't like M11 at all. Bring back Eldrazi! That was like the most fun set I've ever played.

As far as drafting, Eldrazi shits all over M11.  I flat out refuse to draft M11 anymore after doing so for like 2 weeks- I'm trying to get everyone at our shop to go back to drafting Rise.  Bunch of idiots want to draft M11, tho.  Takes no skill, either- just force Blue/White fliers, draft a bunch of pacifisms, ice cages and blinding mages and call it a day.

Drove up to Jacksonville (about an hour north of Wilmington) and played in a $400 Standard cash tournament today.  I won and got $200.  UNF.
