Anyway, I guess BK3 for 3DS would make perfect sense considering the specs of the handheld. The touchscreen would easily select the magnus cards, the 3D effect could be used in battles and the graphical improvement of the 3DS handheld would make it look like the old games for the gamecube. Now if Monolith and Nintendo bite on this sequel, when would it take place?
WARNING FOLLOWING TEXT SPOILS THE FIRST TWO BK GAMESThe easiest way to implement a 3rd game into the BK universe timeline might be another prequel like BK Origins. The origin of Dark Brethren and Wiseman are still pretty much a mystery and there are lots to explain here in a third game. Another option would be to continue from the end of the first game. The world of Baten Kaitos descends from the sky down to the earth and they might as well make up another story onwards here. Another possibility would be to follow the events of Sagi while he and Milly disappeared. However I am not sure if I remembered the ending of Origins correct, but maybe there was a reference that Sagi died of a disease and then there is no reason to continue that thread of events.
Am I the only one that is fascinated by the BK universe? It has a surprisingly interesting story for being a japanese RPG.
