What's with the Saints hate?  Them winning the championship was one of the legit feel-good stories of last year.   The fawning over Manning's greatness is sick enough as it is.  Imagine if he had won a 2nd Superbowl.

LOL at Reggis Bush's 5 carries for 12 yards.  How the hell did he and Matt Leinart do so well in the NCAA?

I don't know about hating the Saints, but everyone was bashing the Seahawks and even questioning whether or not the playoffs needed to be adjusted so this wouldn't happen again.  The Seahawks winning was a gigantic "fuck you" to the media and the entire country.  IT WAS GLORIOUS.

Lynch. Beast Mode......awesome.

This win is going to make going out tonight much more enjoyable.

I don't hate the Saints, I just hate manufactured sports stories (last year was an actual feel-good story, but the media made it seem like Katrina happened so the Saints could win the superbowl and heal the nation and erase racism forever) and more importantly I hate sports columnist who endlessly spin this shit, so anytime they have to come up with weird justifications for their stories going to shit, I laugh.

Near the end of the Hawks-Saints game today, the NBC announcers started rattling on endlessly about Katrina as a way to minimize Seattle's victory or something, it was really odd.

Iggles > Fudgepackers

Eagles are like my surrogate team now, okay? Figured I should hurry and name a backup after thinking about how the Raiders will likely be returning to 4-12 status next year

I missed most of the Saints' failure yesterday, but I at least got to see the Colts and Jets game that led up to some of the best Manning face I've seen all year

So now if the Packers can beat Atlanta and the Seahawks can pull off another upset, then that means the NFC Championship would be played in Seattle.

Superbowl bound! lol

Jake Gyllenhaal is a better QB than he's an actor.  :bow2

Vick still put up a great effort though.  He's almost a one man team which is unheard of, in football.

Nnamdi Asomugha contract voided
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=6004943

holy shit

If I was the Lions I'd offer everything and the kitchen sink for him. Our defensive line provides enough pressure to make a decent secondary look good; the problem is we have a shitty secondary outside of Delmas. Asomugha+healthy Stafford=playoffs, no fucking doubt in my mind.

With him we could take the best player in the draft, regardless of position. I doubt he'd come here, but I'd throw bags of money at him.

Never good to be in a game with bad refs when your coach wastes both your challenges before you even make it to the second quarter

I guess you could blame that second one on the coaching staff upstairs? That was pretty clearly a fumble after watching the replay

Like it always is, this game is coming down to a field goal methinks.  As hard as it is for me to say this, I think the Ravens have the Steelers number in this game.  That fluke TD set them on top.
