I have an iPhone. Husband has Android. Both have perks and disadvantages. I'm the type that doesn't really give a shit, other than I want it to work and work easily, so iPhone has been pretty good for that. He wants to customize and program shit and play FF7 all day, so he's happier with Android than he would be with an iPhone.

Just depends on what you want to use it for and what you want to do with it, I guess.
ff7 all day?  on his phone?  did i read that right??

Well not all day... He says it's laggy, but playable.

He also has FF2, which I beta tested before it came out, so naturally its my favorite. :heartbeat

I'll ask him when I get home (if I don't get murdered first  :-\ ), but I think he has a PS1 emulator for Android, and then has FF7 for it and FF4 as well, which is the same as FF2.

That's all I know at this point, but I thought I'd share just in case this client murders me in the parking lot.  :'(

Ok so he said download psx4droid (and there may even be one for iPhone), but it's an app that costs $4 or 5 and is a PS emulator. Then rip your game disc to an image file or iso, and save it on your phone. I don't know how much experience you have with game emulators, but it's the same thing.

Best part of the emulators are the save states where you can save where ever you want. :hyper None of that bs waiting to find a save point within the game.

No I had to meet this client, and while I was waiting for him, I started thinking, "I've only talked to this guy on the phone. I really don't know him at all. He could kidnap and murder me and nobody here would even realize what's going on." I guess Will could write the screenplay for the movie though, and he said he'd only use Rachel McAdams to play me, so that's a plus, but fuck...  :-\ Everything worked out fine though, this time...

Yeah, I popped that on my phone last week. Took a bit of messing with the settings at first, but I ripped my copy of Suikoden 2 and got it running on there just fine. Haven't tried it with anything 3D yet, and results can vary depending on which model phone you have and it's processor speed.

I could be wrong, but I think that app may be available for the iPhone too.

That's what he said (:teehee) but I haven't looked for it yet.

Edit: Couldn't find it in the App Store at all. Looked online, and it's free for iPhone (or at least it was when the articles I read were published), and so far it is possible to run without jailbreaking the phone. Hmm.
