Moved into my new house.
« on: August 14, 2010, 04:00:21 PM »
There was no air conditioning in my room before I had one put in. I now have the opposite problem. When I close my room door, it gets to be 50 degrees. There is no internet yet but I'm working on it. When I get it done up right, I should bring Kentucky-bore in for some shenanigans. My finances are a bit wonky right now (You'll just hafta wait Sallie Mae! I'm getting the shit I need to make my house liveable before I start paying you fuckers.), but eh.

We'll have to have a get together to properly inaugurate the place.

If you were that one guy who was living with his parents forever because he couldnt find a job and then ended up working for a porn store, CONGRATS. Genuinely happy for you if only because I'm stuck with my folk at the moment too.  If youre not that guy then i guess good for you all the same.

Congratulations on the new house.

I moved recently too. Had space to grab a room for my man room/cave! It's a full on gaming/movie room with all my expensive media equipment, consoles, retro systems, computer, and a mini-fridge. Had to re-paint, thoroughly clean the carpets, and install new electric fixtures and a fan though.

You forgot to mention "pornos." And how you'll need to clean the carpets thoroughly again next year.

This is basically my whole house. :( It's seriously classy bachelor pad material. I had a woman cave for a second. It was going to be my huge closet room, like on Cribs. Now it's Room Drunk Men Pass Out In.  :'( And it's already been stated that when we have kids, it will be the first room we start using for the little embryos.

My kitchen is pretty awesome (my only room of course :(), but it's still not really feminine by any means. But I guess neither am I. Plus, my husband has been cooking way more than me. And now there's beer making shit on top my fridge. Luckily what's up there are huge pots that are really expensive and chrome, and we do have other chrome/brushed chrome in the kitchen, so it matches and doesn't look awful up there, or I would've started slowly throwing it away or something.

Our basement used to be finished at one point, and we're planning on re-finishing it, and I have a feeling it will be uber-man lair.  :'( :'( :'(

Slime uses a sock to catch, no need to worry about that fresh clean carpet.
