I saw the trailer for this in front of The Expendables, looks great, will see. As proven by My Bloody Valentine, goofy horror movies are amazing in 3D.

I almost crapped my pants when I saw Christopher Lloyd was in this. I looked at his filmography on Wikipedia, and I realized the most recent thing I've seen him in is R.L. Stine's Haunted Lighthouse, one of those 3D movies where they squirt water on you at Sea World.

I have people that are actually tracking this film, including the CinemaScore, box office performance and demographic breakdowns, for a project that I'm working on. Piranha 3D may or may not influence production on account of the genre, budget and sales numbers for 3D.

I want to see the flick, less excited that a possible big weekend may force 3D to be mandatory for selling our property.

My opinion is pretty much irrelevant (I'm a writer, not a producer), but I let my two cents be known. If they shop it with 3D, I'd like to re-write to make it as gimmicky as possible, because 3D means you pretty much do not care about the visual quality of the film whatsoever.

I'd much prefer to make a beautiful and well-shot piece of schlock than something that it is "okay" but is only entertaining with 3D spectacles.
