actually, from some brief research, it appears the links between castration and extended life span may be a bit tenuous. never the less, common sense would tell you that castration in a male dog would prevent any cancerous tumors which would develop in that area.

so that's something. there's also some notes on that page about decreased aggression, decreased roaming, and an increase in your dog's ability to concentrate, which again should all come as no surprise. be warned: castrating/neutering your dog most definitely
will change the way they behave. it's not such a bad thing, but if you're a purist, leave da nuts where dey lay.
