Guess I'll go get a few canned goods in case the power gets knocked out. I still have a closet full of candles and shit from the last time a hurricane headed this way, and I have a shake flashlight. Make sure everything is charged, and I am good to go.

You should buy ice cream, so if the power goes out you can be all "oh well, I guess I'm forced to eat all this ice cream before it goes bad!" Plus it helps with the lack of AC.

I picked up my END OF THE FUCKING WORLD SUPPLIES from Wally World earlier tonight. Let's see what we have...

-various cans of soup
-cooler
-turkey breast
-bread
-pudding cups (fucking delicious)
-machete to fend off hobos
-vanilla fudge brownie breyer's ice cream
-paper plates n shit
-3 gallons of drinking water
-matches
-lighters
-flint and steel
-propane torch
-couple bags of chips
-bagels
-cream cheese

And most importantly, I went by the ABC store earlier and got a big fucking bottle of cheap bourbon, because if my power is out for days everyone will be happier if I am not sober.

maaaaaaaaaan. you guys are crazy. Do this shit like a true Gulfer. I didn't get shit for Rita or for Ike. I just filled up a bunch of water bottles and jugs and froze some of them. Rita wasn't shit. But Ike was hell. And my power was only off for 4 hours or so.

We had a party at my place. Grilled, got drunk and watched movies and listened to loud ass music while everyone else I knew was taking cold showers and shit.

I only bought $20 worth of crap canned foods and stuff, the candles and flashlights and such I already had. I'll just leave it on the shelf for next time. Power does get knocked out pretty easily in my area.

When Fran came through in 1996 it tore chunks of the apartment roofs off in the complex. The painter/sheetrock guy I worked for at the time was overjoyed.
