I played the demo, as I'm sure some others here have, and it was bad, very, very bad.

I actually felt terrible for the people who made this game.  It was announced three years ago, has been delayed one year already, and this is honestly the best they could do.  In the at least 4 year long development cycle this game took, its team members could have made something, anything else and would have had some better product to show for it.

We could have gotten another Deception, an HD Fatal Frame, hell, another Tokobot game would have preferable to this pile.  Just about anything else Tecmo could have made would have been better, and likely better selling then this clearly very crappy game that's inserting itself into a way overcrowded genre.

Dark Void was leagues better fer crying out loud.

I saw the demo up yesterday when I was getting the Basara demo. I knew better, as should everyone else.

I went in knowing it wouldn't be bad, but I was already downloading other demos, so I threw this in there.

All I'll say is that there aren't grenades.  Instead, the main character throws woman at enemies.  I'll also say that it was bad.

My guess is that they delayed this so long because it was total shit, hoping something could be salvaged from it, and then finally gave up and are releasing the game to try to salvage any kind of sales they might be able to from it.

Is this the gears type game?

Yeah, if like a bunch of high schoolers made gears of war on the quake 2 engine.

I'm never going to download this game. Looks like a ugly and boring versionn of Gears. And Gears is already as tedious as it can get.

The demo is up on Xbox live so I tried it. You know if it was priced $15 and was an XBLA game then I would have less of an issue with it. I mean I still wouldn't buy it but in that context it would seem okay. But obviously at full price it deserves to be mocked.

It's a shameless japanese gears clone with a few neat ideas but no actual good gameplay to make it worthwhile.
