The EA press conference where Goichi "Suda51" Suda and Shinji Mikami are announcing their new project is starting in just a bit, but courtesy of Famitsu magazine, we already know the name of the game.Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to Shadow of the DAMNED (their capitalization). It's coming out at some unspecified time from EA, and it's being made for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Here's what we know about it so far: it stars a "demon killer" who rides a motorcycle; he's fighting denizens of the underworld; and the media printed in Famitsu a Resident Evil 4-style perspective as the hero fires away at enemies. Also, it's due out summmer 2011.Stick around for a bit, and we'll probably have more to say about this game! Maybe! Until then, though, check out what Mikami's revealed about the game so far in 1UP's exclusive developer profile posted today.
The EA game -- a collaboration with Grasshopper Manufacture that will be formally unveiled at a pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference the day after this story goes live -- has Mikami in the producer role, with Goichi Suda directing. As of earlier this year, just after Grasshopper had moved offices to ramp up its staff to finish the game, Mikami's involvement was light; he would visit Grasshopper a couple days a month to check-in and give feedback.
Aww man, I remember they originally had a wii version planned too. This is Civilization Rev all over again.
